I have another question for all of you again...

I have always just had a simple flip phone that I could make calls on.

Now I want a smart phone. I now have Bluetooth to my hearing aids and my phone rings in my ears and I answer it without the phone. But, when it rings I do not know who is calling as the phone is in my purse.

Even though I like my Nexus 4 and the Android OS, I am considering an iPhone to see how they compare. I really want the ability to use Dyle TV and the Garmin StreetPilot OnBoard App. Anyway, now that the Garmin StreetPilot OnBoard App has been out for a while, how well does it work? Is it pretty stable or does Garmin still have some "bugs" to work out on it?

I'm thinking of getting the navigon app for an Android and want to know a few things. I've had several Nuvis, but. So if anyone has the app feel free to jump in!

Does it show you the current street (Garmins do not)?

What does it use for traffic?

How well do contacts work to plot a route?

Can you add POI files to this app?? I've downloaded it, and it has some great features that my Nuvi doesn't have, but one really important feature I can't find, is the ability to add POIs, anyone know??

Long time Garmin Nuvi user, but Garmin 760 died last weekend, and Garmin no longer repairs them. I downloaded MotionX since I have an iPhone5 and a robust data plan. If there are any MotionX users here, any tips, tricks, or traps? I know the app is $0.99 but voice service for a year costs an additional $9.99 . That seems reasonable, vice Garmin lifetime map cost, etc.

Bloomberg reports that Google is considering making an acquisition offer for mapping company Waze. Numerous reports over the past few weeks have claimed that Facebook is also eyeing an acquisition of the maps firm.
