POI projects

This has got to be a redundant post, but I can't find an answer anywhere. Maybe it should be a FAQ.

I've found error/omissions in a couple of POI files. How do I report those so that the person maintaining the files can make the correction?

Sorry if this was discussed before.

Is there such a thing as POI for STOP signs and traffic lights?
It would be really nice to know about them in advance and
map companies would probably be interested in having this information too, since it would help them to calculate more efficient routes.

Anyone know of lists of larger tire store chains in Canada & the US? Particularly Kal Tire in Canada & Les Schwab in the US

I've done it before but I either can't figure it out, most likely, or something on here has changed to where you can't inform the author of an addition or change that needs to be make.
What am I missing?

I just noticed that he has created all the POI files for the covered bridge routes in Parke County, Indiana, but his Blue Route file actually contains the POI's that are in the Yellow Route.

I was born in this area, and would love to visit all the bridges again....it's been a long time...

What is the best method to convert a csv poi file to a gpx file that can be opened with mapsource?

I am wondering what is your favorte POI file that you got from here. (Yes, even if you got it from somewhere else is ok too).

Hi Folks - I have a long list of genuine Diner Car Diners (aka Silk City, O'Mahoney, Worcester, DeRafelle, etc.) that I put together back in 2005 or so. Most of these are in the area of Ohio to Maine and south to DC. Back then I confirmed all by either calling or visiting during road trips.

when I run POI loader with .WAV files in the folder it tells me it can't convert the files to the proper format.
the WAV files came from the same place the csv files came from on POI factory.

What do I need to do with these files??

Hi, over spring break and summer break, I wanted to do a GIS project, mapping something while hiking the Pacific Crest Trail or any trail in Arizona. I don't know what to do at the moment, but was wondering if anyone wanted anything specific in these regions?

I created this in csv format only and it includes the meals featured at each location Triple D filmed for the show.

Some locations if they were visited multiple times are listed more than once, if the show was shown under different series names it will include multiple series names.

Does anyone have the locations of the coin machines in Navy Federals? Purticularly in the Virginia Beach/Hampton rds area. I could go online, but thought someone might already have a list.

Before leaving on my trip I downloaded the La Quinta POI file and hoped to use it. Tonight the file led me to a spot in the middle of nowhere. After I found our La Quinta Inn in Acworth, GA my GPS says the location is N34 04.9141 W084 39.353 and opening the POI file on my GPS says the motel is 4.5 miles from here.

How come sometimes when I upload a poi file TO THIS SITE it never shows up in my list? SORRY FOR THE CONFUSION

For some reason since my last POI update i am getting 7km speed alert many many times in areas were it does not apply.

Is there any way to get rid of this problem. It seems that this POI does not know where it is and why it is doing it.

Any inputs?

I was wondering if anyone has any ideas for starting a project for this, I have the US version, and have all of the non-chain places..which are great by the way
When I was living in Alberta, there were many non-chain, mom & pop places that were fantastic, but that was 10 years ago, and I can't remember the names..

I'm building a POI file that contains all of the boating port/dock/marina along with contact information throught the world.

Any information that can lead me to the data is appreciated. I don't care the format, I can convert most data.
