POI projects

I was wondering if anyone and compile a list of CR England terminal locations and Drop yards and create a POI set for me please. Thanx in advance.

Not sure if I'd get to it anytime soon, but an Arcade list seems like it would be popular. There's some good sources of locations online (in addition to Chuck E Cheese /Dave & Busters locations).

I did a quick search and I see that something similar has been posted in the past, but I don't think any POI files were created on this. Anyway, now that I am working overnights, I am wondering if there are any POI files that would pull up all 24 hour a day locations near me. I suspect that it might be difficult to create, since hours change, etc.m but I thought I would check.

An important and informative POI Alert would be something that would show what county you are in as you travel.

I have often heard severe weather alerts giving warnings of flooding, tornado, etc. approaching certain counties. Great information, but didn't know what county I was in.

Anyone know of a POI that would help? Or, some other feature?

While passing through Arlington, TX. last evening I checked the POI files from here for Red Lobster. The closest showed as 12 miles. We went to another restaurant. While going back to the freeway we passed a Red Lobster, less than a mile from where I had made the search.

Today I checked the Nuvi internal file for the Red Lobster, it was there.

This is the place to submit additions and changes for the Five Guys POI file.

My intent is to check the web site for missing locations every few months. Five Guys is not very good about updating their location list as there is one near me that's been open since June '11 that isn't listed.

Redner's is a small supermarket chain in PA/DE/MD of about 40 stores. Going to try to get a file done in the near future for it.

I have found this to be an excellent site for GPS info and destinations I need for being on the road so much. I have tried to edit travel plazas (truck stops) to better fit my needs. I dont need the entire name listed..as in PILOT TRAVEL CENTER. I have tried to edit this and others down. No luck what so ever. Is there a simple edit tool and a tutorial for its use available?

I am having a chart in microsoft excel sheet. I am reading that chart using POI and getting it into a HSSFChart object.

Now I want to write that Chart to a Microsft Powerpoint.
Can anyone suggest me or share some idea, by which I can put that HSSFChart object to PPT using POI API ?

Can I convert that HSSFChart object to an Image file(JPEG or PNG)?

I have this weird idea to add landmark files to a POI file but not sure if it is possible to implement it.

This POI is a collection of Hooter's like restaurants. If you know of any that are not in this list (except for Brick House, ShowMe's, Tilted Kilt, Twin Peaks), let me know. Thanks to Shelbrain for the addition of Stacked Burgers!

OK. I installed SOX into my poi loader. Exactly how do I use it to load a voice file for Red Light Cameras and Speed Cameras.
I downloaded sample alerts. They are mp3. I can convert to wav. So for example if I take Karen's red light alert, convert it to a wav and rename it to RLC.wav.
How do I install it using SOX?

Sears/Kmart has just annc'd that they will begin
rolling-out free WiFi in their stores ... allowing
customers to comparison shop.

It's gonna take them a while to accomplish this

I have used a Pioneer Avic-S2 for over 4 years and have created over 300 Personal POI's. The S-2 stores the POI's on a SD card along with the maps. I purchased a newer Avic-F500BT a few months ago & would like to transfer my previously stored POI's to the new F500BT unit. Is this possible?? The F500BT's maps and POI's are stored internally but it does have a SD Slot for Firmware upgrades.

I'm new to this forum but have been registered on POI Factory for a few years now.

I'm working on a very large POI file for all US Post Office locations...over 35,000 in all. I notice there's already one available, but the data appears to be unreliable, showing a lot of "historical" post offices that in many cases haven't been in operation in decades or even longer.
