Red Light Cams Coming down in my area
Both Norcross & Lilburn here in GA have taken down some red light cams over the last month. Gone is the one at Buford Hwy & Beaver Ruin Rd in Norcross & the one at Hwy 29 & Indian Trail/Killian Hill.

Relands California pulls the plug on red light camera
The city sole red light camera has been turned off. The camera at the University street and citrus avenue was shut off by Redlands police chief Jim Bucerman, The city paid Redflex traffic system $6000.00 a month, Bueerman felt if didn't do enough for safety to justify the expense. He also stated it cost more to operate than it generated in revenue.

Bellevue Wa adds speed cameras
The City of Bellevue has installed two speed-enforcement cameras near Stevenson and Lake Hills elementary schools reports the Bellevue reports The Bellevue Reporter. The cameras were installed and were operational to coincide with the start of the new school year.

SCDB
Hi, I just bought a nuvi 260W and I'm planing a trip to Ireland. I'll need to get the Europe maps, obviously, and my choices appear to be to buy them on DVD or on an SD card. I'm also thinking of getting the SCDB for it (http://www.scdb.info/en/) so I'll have POI for all the traffic enforcement cameras over there.

LOMA LINDA - The city's experiment with red-light cameras may be coming to an end.
Nearly four years after the cameras were put in at four intersections, the City Council is looking at the possibility of removing them.

NEWS: Corona, CA tried to distort the law.
California City Proposes to Evade California Red Light Camera Law
Currently Corona only collects $133.80 out of each $446 ticket.

The city of Corona, CA is apparently looking to change the way it deals with redlight camera violations in an effort to avoid having to cough up some of the money it gains from redlight fines to the state and the county.

Same LAT or LONG: possible duplicate entries on Speed Camera POI
Considering the precision of up to 5 decimal points of the LAT and LONG we use on the Speed Camera POI file, I find it very odd when I see two coordinates with the exact same number. The chances of having a speed camera on the exact same LAT or LONG of another camera should be very slim, unless the road is completely straight horizontal or vertical!

Camera Takes Seat Belt Pictures?
Somebody told me that there are cameras that take pictures of people not wearing their seat belts at the intersection. Is this person pulling my leg or does it really happen?

Ticket camera photo contest
There is a website set up where users can upload the photo that they received on the violation from the ticket camera. Once a month, users vote on the best photo and then that person receives $200 to pay for the ticket. The website stays away from individual users opinions on cameras.
