It seems we are having a problem in New Jersey. It seems they are having a problem getting the Red Light cameras to interface with the Court System and cannot mail out tickets. Too BAD

Predictions come true
Some time ago there was very heated discussion about what those cameras are on the roads. There was a few people that seem to believe that those who said, that they are to put additional tax on people are "conspiracy nuts". But it seems to be clearer from month to month, that "nuts" were right:

Victim fights photo radar mistake after 11 years

Viewer fights photo radar mistake
A month after Terry Fox traded-in a car back in 1999, he got a photo radar ticket in the mail. He contacted Scottsdale City Court and was told to send in a copy of his driver's license as proof it wasn't him in the photo. He never heard a word about the ticket again. Then, just a few weeks ago, he received a letter.

spokane wa has more accidents
The local paper published the reports for the two intersections. More that 20% increase in accidents and also 3 more injury accidents. The police say the cameras are promoting safety. Without the cameras maybe there would be even more wrecks. $419,000 fines result in only $103,000 profit for the city.

Red-Light Cameras Inherently Discriminate
I am an avid bicyclist. I uses the public roads just like any other traveling vehicle, and, so, I am bound by law to follow the same rules as any other motorist.
But it occured to me yesterday that it is impossible for a red-light camera to issue a bicycling vehicle a ticket. There is no visible registration to identify.

Show Low, AZ – 1 speed camera and 2 red light cameras
This was new to me, just west of Show Low and through the town, a couple of new speed cameras are waiting for you. Sorry for not posting the exact locations, I was on Goggle trying to look up the speed cameras but was unable to find them posted on line for our PIO Factory folks to update their files. I took another route home to avoid ShowLow AZ and will does so in the future, their loss.

I presume nothing will change from that...

$90.2 Million in unpaid speeding tickets
Arizona reports that the speed cameras should have produced 127 million dollars in speeding fine revenues but only $36.8 million in fines have been paid so far.

Texas Speed Enforcement Out of Control
While driving across that vast state last week it seemed there was a marked enforcement vehicle with flashing lights and a car/truck pulled over every place the Texas Speed Trap POI sounded its alert. (And other places as well.)

Bradenton Florida Sued Over Red Light Cameras
Just found this interesting newspaper headline blasted across one of the local newspapers this morning. Here's the link to it.

It seem like this goes right along with the topic "Red Light Cameras Illegal In Florida".

Tucson violated the law by using red light violation lines according to FHWA
When Arizona motorist Dianne Patterson asked the Federal Highway Administration whether the city of Tucson violated the law by using violation lines, FHWA’s Acting Director of Transportation Operations, Paul Pisano, said it did.
"This decision could have major ramifications nationwide for the legality of red light photo enforcement."

Speed traps
I'm not quite sure how this works.
If I upload the database of speed trap cameras, will I get an audio and visual alert each time I approach one?
Traffic cameras not used to enforce laws.
There are traffic cameras here, used to study why some people pass others on no passing zones. Should these be included in the database? They aren't used to send out tickets, but I assume they could be used to determine the people at fault if someone passed in no passing zone and caused an accident.
