Red Light/Speed Cameras Conversion

I used to be more active on here when I had my Navigon 2100.

Now I have an aftermarket 2din in my Jetta running IGO8 software.

Is there someway of downloading the red light/speed camera files and converting them to use on IGO8?

Thanks

poi editor is compatible

poi editor is compatible with that unit

POI Converter

It is called POI Converter, I think. Here's what I found on another forum (GPS Data Team). Conversion should not be too hard.

------

Downloaded iGO text file can be edited with Notepad (Windows users)
It has the following header line: X,Y,TYPE,SPEED,DIRTYPE,DIRECTION

Explanation:

X = longitude
Y = latitude
TYPE = type of speed camera ( 1 - fixed speed camera locations; 2 - combined red light and speed cameras; 3 - fixed red light camera locations; 4 - section camera positions; 5 - lasers, hand-held radars and other mobile speed camera locations; 6 - railway crossing; 7 - not constant mobile locations)
SPEED = speed limit in km/h
DIRTYPE = type of direction of the speedcam (0-all directions; 1-one direction; 2-both directions)
DIRECTION = direction in degrees (0-North; 90-East)

DIRTYPE and DIRECTION are optional fields

iGO POI file format sample with radars in France:

X,Y,TYPE,SPEED,DIRTYPE,DIRECTION
6.985255,43.578599,7,66,0,0
1.568052,43.699995,7,66,0,0
2.166368,47.187766,7,66,0,0
4.971652,45.508905,7,66,0,0
3.795558,46.211662,7,66,0,0

What brand is your

What brand is your aftermarket unit? Some have branded software to simplify the process (ie: Avic Feeds for Pioneer Avic Nav units)...
