Does anyone know if there is A POI file which would give names and addresses for all florida schools. My job requires that I vist schools in Florida.

For files that are maintained in POI Factory's POI Database, you'll now find the following download options:

GPX - with Garmin extension (phone dial support)
Garmin CSV - regular line breaks
Garmin CSV - nuvi 350/360 line breaks
Garmin CSV - no line breaks (easier to import)

Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm in aerospace and live in Florida, USA but will soon be retiring to Colorado, USA. I hope to become a contributing member of this forum.

Just wondering, Does anyone here do Geocaching with there gps systems?

Geocaching is a treasure hunting game that is big. I have a cobra Handheld and tried to use it but was not to detaled.

I can see a garmin doing this with the recharable batteries that last 8 hrs.

Just wondering if anyone have heard of these or did them..

In fact, that would be a great poi to have! lol

just wondering if anyone has tried to use Microsoft Streets & Trips with poi or anyother features with it. I can import a cvs file and play with it but cant create one. I have not tried to use it with my garmin c530 yet also.

after downloading a red light camera update, is it necessary to delete the previous file?...or will the new file simply overwrite the old one?

I have attempted to download the POI Verifier program but seem to have a glitch somewhere. After setup.exe starts running a message comes up and states ...."Application cannot be started - contact the application vendor". Has anyone got any ideas about what I might need to do to correct this.

I was going to buy an SD card for my navigation unit (kna-g510) however I recently found out I can just take my laptop out to my car and connect to the hideaway unit via USB.

I have successfully loaded custom POIs, however I am unable to have the garmin unit recognize the firmware update.

Garmin’s website says to:

The site will be shutdown Wednesday morning (March 7th) for maintenance from about 11 am to 1 pm Eastern (8 am - 10 am Pacific).

I was wondering is it would be possible to use MapSource and the FCC Webpage and have it create maps with locations from the FCC webpage?

Just ordered one and will get it before Friday. I have been reading manuals and websites on GPS all day!

btw, how can I find a red light camera by eyes?

Before I start tearing open the Vechile and Voice files. I am wondering if anyone here created there own vewrsion of each. I am sure there is a way. I have a mini Van and want to have a car that looks like that. Also would like to change the voice sound.

Any ideas?

How do I convert my gpx favorite locations, not poi from Garmin to mio?

Is getting an antenna for my GPS useful at all. It takes around 30 to 45 seconds to find the satelites and calculates my house and destinations between 15 and 75 yards off. Is this typical? Would I get much better results with an antenna?

anybody know how many poi can be added to a c 330 before you run out of space . thanks glenn

My Garmin C330 was mounted on the windshield for a little over 2 months. When I went to remove it in order to transfer my GPS to another car, I left a lot of the cup on the windshield and the the cup doesn't work any more. Garmin (God bless 'em) are sending me another cup and complete holder - gratis!

Is there away to alert you if your traviling to fast on a specific Freeway? The TomTom One I belive does that. Would like to know if you can program the unit to alert you if your traviling to fast.
