i was wondering if there is some kind of technology where i could track my garmin C330 unit on the internet?

A person on GpsPassion web site posted that he had his Nuvi and laptop lifted from his car. Someone posted on here not long ago of one they had, and thought it may be stolen, but I can't find the post to get the guys together. It's a long shot, but you never know.

I loaded two files to my 550 this morning with the following results. I put red light camers in a file called "internal" using POI Loader. This went in under Garmin L and the program said 1800+ files were loaded. I put Casinos USA in a file called "external" which I wanted to go to the SD card. I loaded to memory M and the program said 500+ files were loaded.

I had been wondering when the new Garmin Nuvi 680 was going to be released so I decided to send an email to Garmin Sales, for those who are unaware of the differences between the Nuvi 660 and 680, everything is identical except the 680 now comes with MSN (movies, weather, traffic, gas prices) updated frequently. Well to my amazement I was told that "Best Buy" already had them in stock.

I'm loading my first POI's into my Garmin C550 equiped with a SD Card. I have already downloaded (POI loader) and have two files in the folder Garmin POI. One of the files is the red light cameras and the other is a list of all Casinos in the U.S. What I would like to do is put red light cameras in the Garmin memory and the Casinos in the SD Card. I have three questions?

I have loaded the poi loader. But when i try to run it ask i put it in a .cvs file. i don't know how to do that. i then added edit Poi2007. still lost. i have read all i can read but am still clueless. Can anyone help the dummy?

What models of GPS's use the POI loader program? Can we use these loader programs to plot fire hydrants? We are thinking about using GPS's in our engines and we would like to load our fire hydrants for the locations throughout our township.

Simple question, which I can't seem to find the answer too. Does the Nuvi 350 have a small hard drive or use flash memory for content storage? Thanks!

Would like to share some poi's for garmins that include dialable phone numbers. Is this permitted here?

how can i add more than one poi file to my c330 when i try to add the second it will replace the first one but iwant both files

This week we are recognizing ADCSUSN and Mkahn with an honorable mention to Lsmonop.

ADCSUSN is doing a great job with all the radio repeater locations and Mkahn continues to be a valuable source of knowledge and experience for those that need help in forum land.

im having trouble downloading the files they are .zip files how can i change them to .csv files to load to my c330

I just got my new TT GPS device and really geting into the POI thing. I live in the Western part of Canada and have notice that lots are created for the eastern parts of Canada (due to more population I guess)
I am now geting into creating them for myself

is there a program or something on tne internet i can use to look up the longitude and latitude for address so i can use them as a poi on my garmin c 330 thanks glenn

Here is the trick to getting your GPS mount to stick.

1. Run water over the Suction Cup part of the mount
( This is to moisten the Seal )
Dry it off with a Lint free Towl.

2. Turn on your defroster and heat up the Windshield.
(In cold weather ) When the Windshield is at a Luke
warm temperature turn it off.
