I own a Nuvi 350 (hence the title) I have a few questions that i couldnt find as i was navigating the site. first off how do i delete a pre- loaded file such as a wal-mart that hasnt been on a certain street for about 6 years now (there are more). 2nd can i load cvs gpx and whatever other files on my unit? What do they mean? And 3rd anyone having luck with the Fm traffic option?

Ok, so I go and post a topic or reply to one. It automatically takes me back to the thread. Now, to get back to the particular forum that I want I have to click on the "Discussion" tab at the top of the page to get back and start all over. If I simply use the link, then it takes me back, but shows all text of the thread.

The first time I logged onto this page this morning, "My discussions" was there, but now it isn't. I only have the options to "Post new" or "Mark all read"

Can someomne tell what is the difference between gpx and .csv file.

Can audio be uploaded to alert when a speed zone is coming or red light camera is coming?

Hey, Just found this and registered. I'm on a mac, and have a Garmin C330 and a eTrex Legend. I'm wondering if I can take Trail head coord's off my etrex and put them on my C330 to help folks find trail heads a little easier. Also are there backpacking/hiking specific forums or other sights to find these POI's?

I am new to the GPS updating, I realize this is basic but my 2730 came with a CD 8.00 map, isn't that the latest? If I download poi's do they just add to the info when using?

I picked up a digital FM tansmitter yesterday, and the sound quality and volume is increased 100%. If you don't like the quality of the sound, you won't regret buying one. I also recieved my map of Italy on SD card, and according to Garmin you have to use the card, you can not download it into the unit. I guess that's so people don't share. It's a Plug & Play

How do I find the version of maps loaded on my nuvi 350? When the unit starts up I see Americas Lite Basemap 4.0 flash on the screen. Is this the version of the map and is this the latest version of the maps for North Americs?

Hi someone know about c320, i install red light canera poi files, i want to know if i set view map funtion,
when they meet red light camera they will alert ?

I'm been lurking several days while waiting for my Nuvi 350 (North American) to arrive via FedEX from an e-tailer.

It would be a long list to say what I've learned so far by reading here so just let me give everyone a huge blanket THANKS!

We're back online, with regular posting enabled. I have not been able to get any solid ETA from the hosting company, so I had to restore the site from last night's backup.

Any posts or files uploaded between 3:30AM and noon Eastern time today are not in the database. The same is true for any user accounts created during this time.

We are having some troubles with the web hosting company that provides the old server POI Factory has been running on.

The issue is escalated to their systems administration team, and we are working to fix the troubles. Right now, I don't have an ETA for final resolution.

Here are 3 photos of mounting a Nuvi 660 on a sticky pad. (see related link)

If you encounter an error 500 while visiting POI Factory, this means that the server we're running on is too busy to handle all of the requests at the moment.

This has been happening sporadically and usually clears up within a couple minutes.

I have a new server on order, and these problems should go away once it's installed.

Hello everyone, I am new to the site, but have been using GPS devices for about 3 years. I have a Magellan Roadmate 700 that my wife uses, and I use either a Palm or PPC PDA. I wrote a couple of reviews of PDA Nav software for www.brighthand.com, and am currently writing a review of the Nuvi 680 that I had a couple of weeks to play with. Are there any other PDA GPS users here?

I have had my Garmin c350 for a couple of weeks and unfortunately have not a chance to use on the open highways. I have downloaded a couple of poi's, like reststops and cracker barrel locations, to name some. What am I to expect as I am driving down the road from these POI's that I have downloaded. Thanks
