Creating POI for business contacts

Is there a way to create a custom POI list for business contacts that I would like to stop by as I travel. Something that I could upload in a xls or csv format in bulk. Maybe 500 to 1000 contacts at a time? I thought I could do it with the NUVI 680, but I am having trouble tring to figure out how to start or what "template" to use if there is one? any suggestions?

I m sure there will ba many

I m sure there will ba many experienced folks chiming in. I have only modified a file, but if you download a typical "vendor" file such as Best Buy or Home Depot and open the file in Excel you will see how it is done. The biggest slow down for you will be getting the coordinates to put in your file for each location.

You can use Notepad or Excel

You can use Notepad or Excel to get started. You'll want to save the file in csv format.

The file format needs to look like this. The first number is the longitude and the second number is the latitude.

-75.6831636,37.9037652,"Name Location 1","optional information"
-75.8305329,37.6662665,"Name Locaton 2","optional information2"

etc.

Be sure to take a look at the Getting Started and Faq & Help sections above.

Determining longitude and Latitude for locations.

Once you have the names and addresses, you can geocode them (find longitude and latitude) through any of these sites. Many allow you to batch in groups up to 100:

Remember to use decimal longitude and latitude for creating your .csv files to input to your Nuvi.
