I have recently transfered my phone book to my nuvi 310 from my Sharp GX17 phone, I sent one entry at a time via blue tooth but I find that some of the entry's have not come out as I expected. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to edit the phone book or delete entry's on the nuvi?

What I noticed recently is that some folks don't provide a description with there POI files. For some of us in other parts of the country that occasionally travel, it would be helpful if there was a description, location, if it's complete or a work in progress etc. Just some helpful info that would explain what and where it is.

Had anyone started having major problems with the bluetooth working properly since last outdate? Mine is now freezing, not always linking with my phone, randoming reading old text messages, over all weird things with the bluetooth (weird ringing with incoming calls, no sound)?

Any suggestions on how to correct?

With the new POI-Factory software, I do not seem to be able to use the "user list" to find all members of this site. The old interface would provide screens with all of the members but the new one seems to only show one page with limited members. Am I missing something?

Being new to all this how can I list more than one POI file on the C550 under extras? I downloaded one file and loaded it onto my C550. I downloaded another file but when loaded onto my C550 it erased the first POI. Am I doing something wrong?????

I recently bought a Garmin 330 Streetpilot and am very happy with it. Is there any way of getting marine maps onto this unit. Everything I can find is incompatible and I'd like to use it for fishing too.

Does anyone know if there is a way to transfer favorites from a C330 to a C550?????? Just got the C550

I just downloaded a POI...campgrounds to my computer. I put it on the desktop. However, when I try to use the Garmin program to transfer it to my gps, it cannot find it on my computer. I click on browse, but it does not show up as being on my desktop. It is in Excel, and for some reason does not recognize it. How do I transfer it to my gps?

Is there a way to add or change my POI list in my 60CS? I tried to d/l the POI Loader, but when I tell it to find my GPS it can't find it... is it too old or is there another way?

I was very excited to get my c320 earlier this week and did some test driving on that very same night. I live in a wooded area in San Francisco so I had to drive around a bit to get satelite reception. It did fairly well on the first evening, not exactly the routes that I would normally take, but for night driving (no traffic) it got the job done fine.

A few minutes ago, orclark811 registered as POI Factory user number 10,000. We don't have any balloons to drop from the top of the page, but Miss poi and I are very happy to be working with a growing community of friendly, helpful users.

This week I've been creating a "My locations" feature for the POI Factory. It gives each user account an area store a few personal locations (up to 50) and makes it easier for beginners to create their own properly formatted POI files.

Like other files in the POI Database, these files are built by typing locations into a web page. Users can choose to download as GPX or several CSV formats.

While you starting your unit press bottom left corner then the unit will ask you if you really want to start maintenance mode or not, just click on Yes, from new menu click view Diagnostics, then press Next many times till you get Bluetooth Status, click Updt to update then Yes, wait fore some time then reboot your unit… Done

Is it possible to have the threads ordered newest to oldest instead of oldest to newest?

I stumbled across this forum as I am a new owner of a Garmin Nuvi 350. Having never used any sort of GPS system before, and not knowing what to expect, Google fond this site.
I have no idea how POI works, and I though the GPS would show stuff like restaurants while traveling a route. Maybe the 350 will and I haven't figured it out yet.

Hi all. I found this site the other day looking for POI info. Just looking around it appears I am in the minority in that I use a handheld rather than a Streetpilot. I had been using a Garmin 60CS up until a week or so ago when I traded up for a 60CSx. It looks tlike there is a lot of good info here related to POIs.

Loaded with the Beta version 2.4.0.1 the transparency feature does work.

I've managed to come up with a traffic light bmp with transparent background. It was a quick effort, so I could use some feedback. If anyone wants to try it out, go for it.
