I was in Pittsburgh today at the auto show and I let my Garmin 680 lead me home......at least I thought so...it took right up to road with signs saying road closed........bridge out so I turned around and so she keeps trying to turn me around to go back to same closed road.......running around in circles and my low fuel light was blinking..........Sometimes I think the old way was better..........

When I bought my streetpilot, I didn't know that there would be a whole new bunch of friends that I would acquire with it. I have only been a member for a little over 2 weeks now, and I have learned so much from fellow members. I have not only been able to download POIs for myself, but have been able to make 2 POI files to share with my new "family". Thanks to all for being great friends!!!!

I was in Miami. I followed my Nuvi everywhere. I picked a destination and followed streets just like a local. I avoid freeways and saw parts of the city I would have never seen. It is a great way to explore!

Hello everyone. Some of the red light cameras in my area, Albuquerque, NM, only enforce one direction. The one near our home has runied my day twice, but only when I'm driving South through the intersection.

Will the red light data for my GPS warn me in every direction through the intersection, or can it be set up to only warn me when I'm driving South?

Just got back from New York. Spent three weeks up there so I have a lot of back reading to catch up too. Two Months ago my wife was diagnose with Colon Cancer so we had the surgery done at Slone Ki nary Hospital. All went well. The Surgeon had to take twelve inches of her colon out, which is not a lot and everything went well.

my c 330 will sometimes show max speeds of 160 mph and i know that this is not true . why does this happen ?

When I click the new messages on "unread messages" and there is a thread that is more then 1 page, it always takes me to the first page and I have to scroll down to the bottom, click the second page, and then scroll down the 2nd page to see the new additions which don't have "new" on them. Am I doing something wrong? or is that how it works?

Ms. POI, how can I thank you for allowing me have the Red Light File. I was surfing this site, and lo and behold I found a message that I was able to download file for FREE. (You know the best type of nation? It is a donation!) Thank you, Thank you, Thank you so very much

I have a new Garmin 2720 and am attempting to install POI files using the Garmin POI Loader for the Mac. The application seems unable to recognise the files from my desktop and I have been unsuccessful in uploading them to my unit. Can someone help me? Thanks.

Coming to work today and GPSr was working fine, then all the sudden it jumped off the road and from that point on, it never got back on the road. I was always 20-50 ft off the road. Then when I turned, it really confused it. Any ideas?

My Nuvi 680 shows the little sunshine as to where it is in the sky and then at sunset the little moon comes up........do all garmins have this feature I wonder? Pretty cool..........if they could only make one with a built in radar detector............Dave

Just got a wonderful (kinda) Garmin c320 for $199, used it for a trip to Denver, and realized the POI shortcomings. So I want to add POIs to the unit, but it seems that, since I am a creature of habit, and Windows98 is one of my worst habits to break, I can't use the Garmin loader.

hi all iam new to the site and new to GPSS thing i would like to get more involved, anyway iam going to Alaska in late may and would like to be one step a head of everyone on the trip so iam trying to find some usefully poi for Alaska any suggestions would be great.
i also have great project idea cracker barrel restaurants.

I have a zumo 550 and love it, however, I installed a 2 gig card for music. I use the Zumo on my Harley, and when I go over some bumps the audi will get very loud, then more bumps, it quiets down. I also have a lot of engine noise when listening to the SD Music.

This doesn't happen when I listen to the XM Sat music. any one with similiar problems, or ideas on what to try to fix it?

My co-pilot and I want to thank Mahoney for the NJ Light house POI's. We just returned from a trip up the Jersey shore and the info got right to the site 7 for 7. No fights as to where to turn, or finding the directions. Thanks
