I just uploaded a POI file with most LL Bean stores in the USA. It is not showing...did I do something wrong or is there just a lag/review time?

My Garmin C340 is falling off the window now that the car is gtettiong hot.
I have cleaned the window and suction mount with alcohol.
Any suggestions?

Has anyone found a program that will convert .gdb files to usable .csv files with no muss and no fuss? My only caveat is that it has to be a simple process as I am not very facile with this stuff and I do not have the time to learn complicated procedures.

Hi everyone

Does anybody have a few transparent bitmap icons 24X24 to send me? - I have created my own to have them displayed on the Traffic Monitoring Points in the South African mapsets, but I can't get rid of the ugly white backgrounds!

Please keep in mind that I'm not very computer literate wrt editing photo's etc.

Would it be better to save locations as Favorite Waypoints or to save them as POI's. Example. I am loading WI Rest Areas (info from both the POI list here as well as from WI's website). I do not currently have the abliity to load POI's with a POI loader. (software issue). Can I go ahead and put them into Favorites or should I wait until I get POI Loader.

I have downloaded a couple of the POI files into my Garmin c340. In regards to the red light camera, can I assume ya'll talking about those that have the camera on them to snap a pic of your plate if you go thru that red light? #2--How can I tell if a particular red light camera in my neighborhood is in the file?

If anyone is interested, Costco has just reduced the price for the Nuvi 370, by $120 for a sale price of $579.00. It requires a membership but I still thought that it was a good price for the 370, considering it includes the transatlantic maps which cover the US, Canada AND Europe.

Hi Everyone. This is my my first post and I'm learning tons of information on this website.
The question that I have is that when I connect my Nuvi 680 to my Macbook Pro, the Nuvi icon shows up with the different folders, like:
1-MP3
2-garmin
3-Jpeg
4-GPX

I am new here, just bought my first GPS today but since it wasn't new, I did not get a mounting kit. I was told to stay away from the windshield suction mounts anyway. I was thinking about one of those air vent mounts, but in my Jetta, it will interfere with my cupholder. Has anyone every seen or tried one of these floor mounts:

I was in Pittsburgh today at the auto show and I let my Garmin 680 lead me home......at least I thought so...it took right up to road with signs saying road closed........bridge out so I turned around and so she keeps trying to turn me around to go back to same closed road.......running around in circles and my low fuel light was blinking..........Sometimes I think the old way was better..........

When I bought my streetpilot, I didn't know that there would be a whole new bunch of friends that I would acquire with it. I have only been a member for a little over 2 weeks now, and I have learned so much from fellow members. I have not only been able to download POIs for myself, but have been able to make 2 POI files to share with my new "family". Thanks to all for being great friends!!!!

I was in Miami. I followed my Nuvi everywhere. I picked a destination and followed streets just like a local. I avoid freeways and saw parts of the city I would have never seen. It is a great way to explore!

Hello everyone. Some of the red light cameras in my area, Albuquerque, NM, only enforce one direction. The one near our home has runied my day twice, but only when I'm driving South through the intersection.

Will the red light data for my GPS warn me in every direction through the intersection, or can it be set up to only warn me when I'm driving South?

Just got back from New York. Spent three weeks up there so I have a lot of back reading to catch up too. Two Months ago my wife was diagnose with Colon Cancer so we had the surgery done at Slone Ki nary Hospital. All went well. The Surgeon had to take twelve inches of her colon out, which is not a lot and everything went well.

my c 330 will sometimes show max speeds of 160 mph and i know that this is not true . why does this happen ?

When I click the new messages on "unread messages" and there is a thread that is more then 1 page, it always takes me to the first page and I have to scroll down to the bottom, click the second page, and then scroll down the 2nd page to see the new additions which don't have "new" on them. Am I doing something wrong? or is that how it works?
