Problem with GPS's?
I'm looking to buy my first GPS, and have an idea what i want, it's between Garmin, TomTom, Magellan. I talked to a salesperson at Radio Shack. And was told there is a problem with the touch pad on all of them. And he suggested I buy the extended warranty. said problems show after about a year of use. Anyone know about this, or is he just pushing their warranty?

how accurate is ur gps in # of feet?
Best I've consistently gotten is around 12-14 ft on my nuvi 350.

MAGELLAN HELP !!! - sound files
Can anyone help me? I was able to transfer the Redlight Camera csv file to a magellan file .mgl via the Magellan software however I don't know how to get the sound poi for a redlight camera on there. I named the mp3 file the same as the redlight camera file but when I attempt to transfer it to a Magellan file it needs longitude and lattitude coordinates...does anyone know if this can be done?

Download POIs based on Geography
Is there a possibility that the Pois could be cross indexed by geography? For example, I'm going on a trip to Alaska and Western Canada. It would be great to download all Pois on file for this geography.
The other option, is to go through each of the many, many files and see which I would like for this specific trip.

WAAS/EGNOS
We are touring New England soon. In the UK we do not have WAAS/EGNOS enabled, for the states would it be better to have in on. We have a 670 and will be using it via the cig lighter connection so battery life should not be a problem.

Use WAAS or not?
I have a Nuvi 350. I travel mostly in semi-rural areas and small communitites of under 100,000, very infrequently in urban canyons. I notice the Nuvi 350 has the option of WAAS on or off. I realize the <3 meters accuracy possible with WAAS, but if I m not calling in artillery shots, do I need to consume the extra battery power that WAAS "ON" would use?

Parking POIs in city POI files?
I sure am glad this site exists. I am about to deliver my daughter to Boston for her first year of college, 32 years after I graduated and departed Boston. I relied on the MBTA during my student days. While I certainly recall that the T took me everywhere, this time around I will be driving Boston streets, and I am less than totally confident about doing that.
