Yellow means?

So for those of you that live in areas with redlight cameras does the yellow now mean something different?

Green = GO.
Yellow = Stop.
Red = Hold until green.

Other usages Nobody Does It Better

Air New Zealand adopted the song's title as an advertising slogan, but removed it following the Erebus disaster in 1979.

A small element of the tune makes an appearance in a later Bond film For Your Eyes Only, as an audio lock to the Indentigraph in Q branch.

In the 1980s, KDBC-TV, a local CBS affiliate in El Paso, Texas, used the song in a few of their station idents.

Easy way to see different forums

I know this might be a complete newbie question, but can anyone tell me how to go and find the forum overview homepage?

I can't seem to find it anywhere... i want to be able to search by different forums and I haven't found out this interface at all.

Thanks!

"My discussions" button on POI

Has the "My discussions" feature on POI, where you click it on this page
http://www.poi-factory.com/forum
and it lists out the threads in which you've added a post, stopped working for everybody? It's not been working for me on either FF3 or IE8 for the past week or so, but I'm wondering if it might be a setting in my security software that's blocking it from working.

Worth thinking about?

Here's a thought for discussion.

Tom Tom and now Navigon (remember them?) have both announced navigation software for the iPhone. Garmin is supposed to release the much anticipated Nuviphone (or whatever they are going to call it) sometime this year after delay upon delay.

The analog Sunset (ASO) is finally upon us

All US full-power analog TV broadcasts will end. And June 12, 2009 will be a new dawning of the digital age.
And if your not ready you have no one to blame but yourself, it's either your own lateness or pure laziness. Hell you were even given a second chance to get er done.

Phanthom Alert

Just this evening, in the Washinton DC area, I saw a report on a major network TV station of a fellow advertising the availability of Redlight & Speed Camera alerts for Garmin & other brand GPS. These services were available for about $10 per month or $100 per year.

The alert red top strip to the Garmin & the sound it made made it seem suspiciously like the files we get at the POI Factory.

Learned Something New

I have been a regular visitor to this site for over a year and always wondered what the symbols stood for next to the user ID. Some had more and others had none.

I was going to ask Miss POI but felt embarrassed to ask. Today I happened to move my mouse over a symbol and paused a few seconds "whal-la" there it was the meaning of the symbol.

Nice to know what I am.

Gel pads

One of my cars has quite a sloping dash and my sandbag mount doesn't want to stay put, works fine in my other car. Anyway a friend has a couple of sticky gel pads that were given to him that he sits his 750 on because he was having the same problem in his truck. He says they work great.

Very elementary POI question

Sorry to even bring this up...

What is the purpose of creating a POI file for a particular named organization? For example, why would I want to create a list of all WalMarts? It seems that wherever I am, if I wanted to find the closest WalMart I would just do a standard lookup.

Enforcing the License Plate law in Mass.

FYI

We were stopped the other afternoon by a Mass. State Trooper.

He advised that our license plate covers were no longer legal. Unfortunately, the auto part shops in Mass. don't know about this. We stopped in and told the C.A.P. store we bought our covers from.

Factory installed POI

Hey
I was wondering if when you update the maps does it update the factory installed POIs? Or are the ones installed the only ones you get? (Of course not counting the great ones we can download here).

Using Two GPSs Devices At Once

Last night I made a trip and used two GPS devices at the same time. I have a Garmin Nuvi 500 and a Pharos GPS Phone 600 with Garmin Mobile XT. I really didn't originally intend to use two at once, but I bought the Nuvi 500 recently and I put it in my pickup, but I already had the Pharos in the pickup, so I put in the address that I was heading to.
