I am trying to find the best way to run vending routes via gps. Might be wishful thinking to also be to update the records as they are completed on route. the closest online app i have found so far is gomobileiq.com but I can not pay 300 per month for the service.

Hi there, new to all this.

The POI's for the Arco gas stations do I need all three: ie Arco_CA.csv, Arco_SOCAL.gpx and Arco Fresno Area.csv? I would guess that the Arco_CA.csv would have all the stations from the Cali - OR border, south thru LA and along I-10 toward AZ.

If I needed all three, it there a way to combine then into one file or is there a limit to file sizes?

OK. In about 44 days (who's counting?) we'll be on the equator in Ecuador. My 765T has North America loaded in, but not South America. If I take the unit with me to Mittad del Mundo (center of the world) - the actual equator - and I press "Where Am I?" on the Garmin, will it show 0 latitude? Anybody have experience with this?

Now this is a new section of a larger rerouting of the old US 24 road.

I am wondering how I will handle driving for almost 30 miles with the Nuvi totally confused repeating over and over "recalculating" do to the fact I will be driving thru what it thinks is empty farm fields.

I also will not have my eta avaiable until I get back to the old US24 in Indiana.

B.C. Canada has just banned using your GPS while driving.

I just got back from visiting family in North Dakota. While there we were going to an Indian casino in Harkinson Dakota. We were in Fargo and take rt 29 to get there. I got a few messages from my NUVI 350 that it found a better way to go.

Does anyone know definitively the law regarding the rules on when motorists are required to stop when school buses have their flashing red lights on? I am curious about traffic on the other side of the road going the opposite direction of the school bus.

I think some rules vary from state to state so any information on California would be most helpful.

I downloaded the “White Castle USA_V3.csv“ file and uploaded it to my Nuvi 670 successfully, however, the same file won’t load on my Nuvi 880.

Any ideas why this is happening?

I've wondered inf anyone else has noticed these things

and used Garmin on the Big Island and Oahu. It took us without fail to every location we wanted to go to. In my opinion it saved hours and hours of driving around and trying to get to them by using a map. Anyone going to Hawaii should either take one with them or get one with the rental car. Don't leave home for Hawaii without one.....

California is at it again. The new ruling on automobile glass will impact portable GPS users as well as other users like Cell phone (although my concern is with GPS). Overpriced built-in units will likely not be affected, as they tend to have external mounted antennas.
