Just wondering if Drupal was used for this site?

After browsing around ... the site is well put together. Easy to find links, easy to navigate. The colors work well, just overall impressed with the way it works.

Just want to say thanks for all the useful info that i see here. I have used Gps on a laptop for years but just recently Grabbed a Nuvi 255 so i am new to using a portable Gps.

Apparently still under construction, since it's in Google's "Labs" section, but it's open. I hope they're still working on it. It appears the route sequencing algorithms they're using still need some work.

And I don't see any way to download the waypoints. Yet. Think they'll add that?

My computers motherboard recently fried.
So I took the HD out and installed it on a computer at work to retrieve some stuff.
What do I need to 'transfer' from this, to my new laptop so that I don't loose my Garmin info [Nuvi 760]. I have Mapsource also.
I am coming from XP to Vista 64bit
There seems to be 3 folders I could copy but don't know if all these are needed.

Hi Everyone. I'm new to the GPS world. Recently purchased a Garmin 255W. I was suprised to find out you could download so many different things ..( POI's Cars, etc.)

I look forward to driving around, and hope that I can use some of the POI's offered buy POI Factory.

Has anyone thought of adding ratings to some of the POI files? We could add a 1 - 5 star (*) if we have been to the location or can vouche for it's quality. I would like to know of a place that I should go out of my way for and the ones I should skip.

I made a donation and got the red light camera file for my new GPS. Very friendly and helpful website here.

In my town, they added 3 new red light cameras last month that were not in the downloadable file. I e-mailed the site last night with the locations and a link to the news story about them...

I have a couple of Garmin gpsr's, one of them, the 265WT, does not have a built-in fm transmitter. I was wondering if anyone makes a stand alone fm transmitter, like the ones they make for ipods, that will give me that capability with the 265WT. Anyone know if there is such an animal?

I'm sure the manufacturers of voice-activated GPS units would be thrilled to see this pass:

I signed up awhile back and downloaded the camera POI but really couldn't contribute because I simply don't run across them.

However, I got the Diners, Drive-ins and Dives and I think will be able to add to the list in several places

When my garmin 265wt comes up with an ad for walgreens - is that pre loaded or does that come up via the radio? Can my radio signal back to garmin my location?

This year is very special, I have my Dad in town and get to celebrate with him.

I also got to convert him to a quality GPS, he was buying brands that we don't support. I think it would be cool to have him become a POI Factory addict now.

A pal sent me this. He claims it is a genuine ad for an Israeli GPS unit.
