Is there a POI file for US Post Offices?

How about just Tennessee?

I have a Nuvi 750 which works perfectly fine, but have been considering making an upgrade, especially after seeing the current offerings from Garmin and even Tom Tom (been a long time Garmin user but that 5" display from Tom Tom really caught my eye).

This is the place to talk about things that are not gps related.

I am always looking for Civil War Sites. Has anyone developed a POI for that?

I would like to extend my thanks to Mary Ann and all of the others that volunteer their time and knowledge to make this site a success. The data here takes a lot of effort from all to keep it current and as diversified as it is. Sometimes I think we just expect the data to be up to date and don't realize the hours behind the maintenance. Once again thanks to all that contribute.

Tonight, I was watching my unit find the satellites and watching the accuracy change. The best i got was 12 foot. I was wondering, what is the best accuracy these units can achieve with good reception? Also was watching the elevation for about an hour in a stationary position and watched it continually decrease, about a foot every 5 minutes or so till it finally stopped.

Thought this was interesting. They hit the nail on the head about Chicago. This is why I love the speed limit display on my Nuvi, it has saved me from a ticket several times!!!

I have tried NAD27 and NAD83 and he WGS datums. My info does not match up on the Google Maps imported in Mapsource.

I am trying to convert my Garmin Mapsource to fit the POI custom coords. data so I can add new Speed Cameras. I had had the Mapsource program set to UTM's and NAD 27 at one time but cannot seem to get it to be in line with the POI data.

Is there any way to put a new poi into my garmin without having to redo all of the custom alerts on each of the previous poi files I've already entered.
It seems like I'm missing something here.

I just brought my Garmin 265w in to do its yearly software update. I found out about adding POI's and thought they might prove useful so here I am.

I DL the Sizzler poi from here in GPX format for use on my Nuvi 855.
It has Sizzlers in a few different states. I use POI Loader 2.54
The problem I'm having is that only the Sizzlers in CA show up on my Nuvi.
I used extra poi editor to convert the GPX to CSV and looked at it in Excel and all of the other states are there.
I've tried both formats on my 855 with the same results.
