This week we are recognizing ralphy1 for his ongoing work maintaining the North American Breweries file.

The brewries file is a regular fixture on POI Factory's list of most popular files. This year ralphy1 has added hundreds of new locations, bringing the current file to over 3150 locations.

Thanks ralphy1 !

Locations of Verizon Wireless Stores

Seems odd but with cell phones multiplying faster than rabbits and everyone either needs service or is looking for a Verizon Wireless Store there is now POI for them. Reason I'd like one is when I'm traveling and possible having a cell phone emergency (Service) I sure can't call them on it and without a POI on my Garmin I'm lost. Anyone have an answer to this one?

Car electronics increasingly hackable

As if we don't have enough to worry about with enforcement cameras and our cars ratting us out to insurance companies and the government, all those electronics built into your car these days also can be used to give someone who wants to hurt you a way to do so. It doesn't have to be anyone who knows you.

This week we are recognizing Camerabob for his work on the IHOP file.

Camerabob took over the IHOP file a few weeks ago and has been busy bringing it up-to-date. The new file carries forward many corrected coordinates from the old file and also has other nice features, like notations for the restaurants that are open 24 hours.
