I had listed a Garmin 40LM on sale at Kmart but the site says item is "currently unavailable". That seems to happen a lot this time of year. Anyways it could be in some stores, price is $99.99 which is better than Amazon's price.

18V Cordless Drill + 56-pc bit set + Case = $25 + Free Ship

Kmart and 40LM

Just check website and says available and as you state shows at several stores in the area. It does appear as if there is a $5. shipping charge.

Coupon Printing Software?

I have no idea if this is correct but, my guess is they make you install software that would limit the number of prints one can make. I've seen people print a lot of coupons on that Extreme Couponing show. Never imagined you can get $1200 of groceries for free... Anyway, I can see companies not wanting 300 copies of a coupon printed by any one computer...

Target Stores - Garmin 40LM $89.99 12/18-12/24

Just saw it in this weekend's Target sale flyer. That's the best price I've seen on this model. I have one and like it so far. 4.3" screen, lifetime map updates, lane assist/junction view, speed limit indicator, speaks street names. I've had no issues with connectivity,POI Loader, Map updates, etc. using Windows XP. I've tested and it allows one "via-point", in addition to the primary destination.

update file sale

It seemed to me that at this time of year, there are specials at amazon.com etc for the update for Garmens. Can you point any such out?

Thank you!

unless each coupon has an unique number which can be validated, you can not stop someone print "300 copies" of same coupons. I think they are more interested in who print these coupon. Hope they do not do more than that.

The desire to limit the number of coupons is why they require the use of special software to print the coupon. You do not download the actual file for the coupon itself, which could be printed by many programs. You download a program that has the coupon embedded in it, probably in encrypted form, and run that program.

When you print the coupon, the program writes a special file somewhere on your computer, or writes information into the registry. If you run that program again, the first thing it does is to look to see if that special file exists (or if the registry has been so modified). If it finds that such a change has been made, the program stops without printing the coupon. If it does not find an indication that the coupon has already been printed, it will proceed to print it.

Of course, a protection scheme like this is easy to bypass for people who are familiar with computer operating systems, but it works well to prevent 99% of the customers from printing multiple coupons.

If you can print, you can xerox, in my opinion.
I know there is an "extreme coupon" show on TV where people collect lots of cents-off coupons and redeem all of them in one purchase. I do not know if this is related.

Happy New Year, everyone!!

Garmin Compare

For $10 might as well buy the 2300. Looking at Garmin Compare the 2300 has Routes, Garmin Locate, Speed Limit Indicator, Lane Assist, and My Trends. I don't know the 2300 internal mem size but the 1300 only has 2 GB.

Garmin Compare:
https://buy.garmin.com/shop/compare.do?cID=134&compareProduc...

EDIT:
Oh yes, the 2300 negative. It only has 2.5 hours battery life compared to 4 hours for the 1300. The 0.7 ounces of weight is probably a smaller battery in the 2300. Doesn't matter to me as I always have it powered when in the vehicle driving or connected via USB to the PC.
