BoA File corrupt
Sorry guys.
If you just downloaded the BofA POI file - Try again.
I forgot to delete the extra column I use for sorting by Zip Code. It came up short a couple of hundred places.
It's complete now and uploads to my Garmin with no error and 10109 locations.

Go ahead age yourself
What was the price of regular gasoline when you started driving?
My first vehicle was a used 1950 Chevy that cost me $50 of which I had to borrow from a friend and the gallon of gas was 25ยข
Can you guess the year? 1963

Update my car DVD for $149 or not
I have a 2006 Odyssey and I received a letter asking if I wanted to buy the GPS DVD update for $149. The car navi is not as easy to use as my handheld but I know I always have it in that car if I do need it. Any pros and cons would be helpful. Thanks.

Bell System Technical Journal Archives
For the techies in the group.
Bell Labs was the birthplace of many technologies and scientific discoveries that virtually define our understanding of the modern world and The Bell System Technical Journal (BSTJ) was the record of those achievements.
The entire archives of the BSTJ were placed online by Alcatel-Lucent and can now be accessed here.

Will you use your GPS more now, with higher gas prices for a "cheaper" route?
I think I will start using a little more my Garmin when driving locally and running errands. So far I just used it when making long trips or driving to unfamiliar areas. I have the feature for making routes so I will start planning a little more before leaving the house to make sure I'm using the best shorter or faster route depending on the destination.

Suggestion: Forum Search Enhancement
Hi Miss Poi,
I'm wondering if we could get an enhancement of the search function for sites's forums, etc. Right now, the search results seem pretty random.
I'd like to be able to sort the results by date and/or relevance, for example (mostly by date.)
Thanks!
Danny

You get what you pay for (magical hard disk)
A 500GB external hard drive purchased in China for an unbelievably low price doesn't work as it is supposed to. I LOL when I saw the internal parts.

Subject line
I am curious as to why you need to include a new subject title for each post here at the factory. If you are following along on a particular thread about the same subject why the need to add a new subject for each post?

Texas House backs plan to allow 85 mph speed limit
AUSTIN, Texas โ The Texas House approved a bill that would allow the speed limit on some highways to be raised to 85 mph, which would be the highest in the nation.
Enhancement - Weather Info
I gotta say, the traffic info, at least in the KC area is pretty sketchy, BUT I would really LOVE to see them use that capability to interface with National Weather Service weather data. All weather watches/warnings include GPS coordinates.
