He’s been super speedy in his posting over the past week which is important to keep dialogs going in the forums.

Plus his avatar is ferocious.

What would Santa's 'go to' GPS system be?

Here's the scenario: Rudolph woke up this morning feeling a little queezy, so he informed Santa that his reindeer guidance system might be just a tad off. Now everyone knows that Rudolph & his cohorts always come through, but just in case Santa figures maybe he should mount one of those newfangled GPS systems to his handle bars. What might Santa's 'go to' system be?

Best Wishes all! grin

Is The Replacement For Stand Alone Automobile GPS A Small Tablet From Garmin Or TomTom?

As posted above, could the replacement for stand alone automobile GPS as we know it currently simply be a small tablet with a GPS receiver built in? Some might also have wifi and/or cellular connectivity. Anyway, the end user buys the device and windshield mount and then selects if they want Garmin, TomTom, or Magellan navigation software.

Florida again

State Highway officials announced this fall that they wanted to redo the current plate witch is difficult to read, because of the raised number and the orange in the middle of the plate, with the new plate easy to read, even if the action was caught on cameras and toll's.

Technology

A rather fitting quote for the current use of cellphones etc."I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interaction. The world will have a generation of idiots."Albert Einstein".

Garmin vs Tom Tom

I have purchased a Tom Tom 1605TM and a Garmin 50LM to compare them and decided which one to keep.
The points I like about the Tom Tom are the 6" screen, the speed is displayed on the left side of the screen and the audible alerts for all types of speed cameras and red light cameras. However is does beep and show a camera for adjacent streets I'm not driving on.

iMagnet Mount

I just found out about the iMagnet Mount. Is anybody here using one of these? If so, how well do they work?

Unlimited data (Verizon)

I ordered a new iPhone from Apple using my wife's number because a Verizon vendor since we both had credits on our numbers had advised me to. She has no data plan. When Apple helped me set it up, I realized our numbers were switched. I went to Verizon and they put a new SIM card in and all was well. The Verizon rep told me the result of this would be that I kept my unlimited Data plan.
