Deals

You can get a 2595 at costco for 169$, as of last Weds.

Also, check ShopNBC.com for the 2797 with a beanbag mount @ $269 + $9 ?s@h. You can pay it off w/o interest in 5 or 6? payments. If you know someone in NJ, ship it there to save tax. Note, the 2797 is listed twice at different prices, so check for the lower amount.

GPS city has the 2797 for $269, no shipping and usually no tax.

Nuvi 765T GPS stolen, now looking for a good deal :(

Wife inadvertently left the garage open overnight, *^%$@! thief came in and took it out of the car, along with power cord/traffic antenna and other valuables. Only consolation is that I did have it protected with a password, so the *$^&#@ won't be able to use it or sell it. Really liked that unit as it had all the features I really wanted and used.

great thread

I'm thinking of getting an inexpensive backup GPS. I hate the thought of being on a road trip and my primary GPS failing. Spending $100 on a backup seems like a prudent idea, even if it does not have all the features of my 850 Nuvi.

It might be a good idea to drop a few hints.

Sorry, Sale prices gone.

They were there as I posted my first comment. About 40% off the list price. $180 off the Premier unit. Big discounts on all the others.

Only

Only lasted for a very short time. It looks like it was a mistake. It will be interesting to see if Garmin honors the price for anyone that happened to get one ordered before they pulled the site down.

Amazon and Lifetime maps

In April, Amazon had a sale on LM for 26.99. I jumped on it and received confirmation email. It was a mistaken listing. Someone from Amazon called me at home to explain. All I got was an apology.
