when you're being watched and recorded
It's suprising how many aren't used to the notion that all of your actions are videoed, everything you say recorded, and your actions tracked. So what, technology makes it so?!
For example, when I visit a vendor, my pic is taken, my index finger is scanned, and I'm asked if I'm a US Citizen. If any of the above is not done, then I will not gain entry.

This week we are recognizing David King!
David King has been a member for a little under a year.
He’s been helpful in sending us some wav files and has helped several members update locations.
He pops into the forums on occasion, when he has experience to share, and he recently updated several of the POI files he maintains.

Charging GPS units
I do not travel much that I need to use my GPS unit for, so it pretty much sits on a shelf slowly loosing it charge. So when I do decide to use it I have to charge it up from a low battery status. Seeing that Lithium batteries only have so many full charging cycles would it be better to keep it attached to my USB port on my computer all the time to keep it fully charged?

I purchaged my Garmin about 3-4 years ago but didn't register the device. Do I still eligible for Lifetime maps update or I screw up with having free updates?
Thank you.

State Farm's "Drive Safe & Save"
Greetings,
Is anyone familiar with or an actual user of State Farm's Drive Safe & Save program which uses either OnStar or SYNCH--or for those like me with neither, the separate In-Drive.com device?
It seems to offer much besides potential insurance rate reductions including much of the info offered by Garmin's EcoRoute HD device.

Lockheed Martin powers up its first GPS III satellite, stays on track for 2014
Lockheed Martin powers up its first GPS III satellite, stays on track for 2014
Flicking the switch clears it for testing and keeps the GPS III program's 2014 launch window within view. More importantly, the activation takes us one step closer to improved GPS accuracy for civilians and soldiers alike.
