This week we are recognizing alandb!

Alandb has been a POI Factory member for over four years and can often been seen on the forums helping with troubleshooting or technical inquires. This week he wrote up an FAQ for Garmin Maps | Cloning Method: Install a Map Update Directly to the SD Card. Which can be found here: http://www.poi-factory.com/node/39231

New traffic light style being tested

How much free memory is needed?

At the present I have only 3MB of free internal memory on my 1450LMT. Is this enough free space for the unit to function properly?

The Red Lightmare

Chicago's NBC News gives a good investigation into the Red Light Cameras in the city. The 'winning' intersection? I-55 and Cicero. One single intersection generated over 20,000 tickets and $2 million in fines.

This week we are recognizing Frugalscotty!

Frugalscotty is a relative newcomer to our community. He recently suggested we start a bargain thread. I know our users are generally the first to spot deals and are up-to-date on the latest accessories so I think it will be a great way to share that with one another year round and not just over the holidays.

PRESIDENTS DAY

Happy Presidents Day. We need all the holidays we can get...lol

Links In Posts

I know some links to articles and other web pages can sometimes be rather long. Some users like to use "Tiny URL" (or others) in their posts.

Here's the problem:
