Keeping the Windmill Alive - Your last trip? – June 2013

Leaving Monday for a week in Denver with my 255WT in the rental.

Turned GPS on for traffic information not for navigation.

Later to work on a Eagle project for a scout.

This morning to 10 garage sales in areas we do not know well. Quite helpful.

my present trip that began in late April. At a campground in Winter Garden,FL and expect to back to Merritt Island,FL on June 3.

I spend the winter in Mexico (6 months) so my postings to POI Factory were few and far between. I lost my windmill. How long does it take for it to return?

Becoming an active member is completely free.

You automatically become an active member when you've made posts in at least 3 of the last 5 weeks. Activity includes uploading POI files and/or posting in the discussion forums.

The weekly posting periods run Monday through Sunday (Eastern timezone). Active member status is updated once each week (on Monday mornings).

If timing of your first post is lucky (Saturday or early Sunday), you can become an active user in just a little more than 2 weeks.

When Angela updates on Monday, your windmill will appear.

Back up in NY for a couple of weeks, and I've been using the nuvi to get around to together with old friends.

Used my garmin usa app on my iphone. Traffic on that is very reliable. Chose the least bad route back into the Bay Area and adjusted several times as the traffic conditions changed.

Also found the exit services feature to be very useful on the 1400 mile drive.

last trip was to Sacramento 5 hours one way. ;P

Got my windmill back!!!

Just spent a few days at Scout Camp.

Three days later and the little Nuvi has guided us to friends in Washington state. A few down days and it's on to Alaska!

Just got back from a Caribbean Cruise in Florida. We decided to stay a week and do Disneyworld. I rented a car and drove from Ft. Lauderdale to Orlando. Thanks to my GPS, I could avoid all the toll roads. Then we decided to drive to New Orleans. Thanks to my GPS, we were able to get where we wanted to be. I always keep all my POI's updated just for instances like this.

Be certain to change the display to kilometers while in Canada. That way you can use it as a speedometer.

Heading for Orlando next weekend. Disney World and Universal Studios with the family.

On Sunday to Campbellford with my Wife and Daughter for chocolate and cheese, then down to The County for wine and that's were I got the idea to do a POI file of all the Vineyards and Wineries in Prince Edward County

I drove out to a range last Saturday.

I need to get out more.

Got 2700 miles logged so far and this is our last night in Maine. Been great week - Big Bro's 80th B'day, and our accomodations right on the harbor of Ogunquit overlooking the harbor and the ocean beyond.
Move down to NH tomorrow for a week and then a couple days in Upstate NY and then heading home to FL.
Our Taurus and "Jack" have performed very well.
Should be home on the 17th.
Glad we're missing all the rain in FL.

My 1490 just returned from Orlando. My sis and her 2 grand daughters said it worked great.

No where this week.

I enjoy doing a synopsis - hey, maybe somebody here at POI Factory is thinking of vacationing in Maine and my experiences can assist them !
Also have a few reviews I've done on Trip Advisor !
Also checked out several of the "lobster shacks" on my POI listing ! As an excuse, I say I have to make sure they should still be in the POI file !

Went looking for minatures for a doll house.

Had to make multiple stops in Chicago the other day. I love my Garmin. What a life saver!

Took "jack" on a road trip. Jack kept me intertained during th 4 hour trip by playing my favorite tunes on his MP3 player. Nice NUVI!

Work and back during the week, then to and from the store for food.

Driving around the state will probably end up in Cape May.

I am looking to find points of interest in Portugal and Spain. A friend of mine is going there and I may go meet with him.
Can someone direct me to them if there are any here?
