Can existing red light camera file work with Garmin 2595 LMT ?

Hello everyone,

I recently purchased a new Garmin and would like to subscribe for the red light camera POI file.

I am not sure the file will work on the newer Garmin unit.

Any comment is much greatly appreciated

Question for our FAQ gurus

Greetings,

I just updated one of my FAQs and added a "LogBook" entry for the "ChangeLog" reporting the update and thanking another Factory member.

As is always the case, I have a typo in my Logbook entry.

I've looked but can't find a way to change my just-posted LogBook entry.

Revenue from Speed Cameras in MD Falling

That's the title of an article in today's (June 10, 2014) Washington Post newspaper. It says MD is a leader in the use of speed cameras in the country. Main problem is the perception that the cameras are used as revenue enhancers. Can't be!!!

The take in a number of local jurisdictions is falling. In some it doesn't cover the cost of the contracts. Aw Gee!!

7 Year member (had) Pancreatic Cancer

Hi,

I've been a 7 year member of this great discussion web site. Lately I was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer.

I'm reaching out to members and friends to see if you can help out a long time member with a small donation to help pay the medical bills, hopefully find a research group with some good news regarding the deadly disease, and most importantly win the battle.

Congested Traffic

In case of traffic congestion, how can I force my Nuvi 1350 to follow an alternate route (it does not do so every time)?

The long way on POI Files

I opened my eyes a little wider just now when I was looking for a POI file and had an epiphany.

But first, let me admit what I have been doing in the past.

Summer is here so this week we’d like to recognize, TXRVer and camping rivopom for their RV parks and campground POI files.
I know they both work hard to keep these files verified and up-to-date year round and we appreciate their hard work!

Thanks TXRVer and camping rivopom!

Maryland New Laws for Traffic Cameras, Phasing out Bounty Cameras

With a new law that takes effect June 1 20014, Maryland is restricting school zone traffic cameras from areas where the zone speed limit is 20 mph or less. It is also phasing out "bounties" or revenue sharing of tickets with contractors, although this will not happen right away.

Keeping The Windmill Alive - Your Last Trip? – June 2014

In danger of losing your windmill?

Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).

Anything to keep your windmill alive.

The Ultimate GPS Misroute!

I can picture the GPS on the dash of the submerged truck saying "Recalculating"...."Recalculating"!

What are folks doing this weekend?

I'm doing my now annual trip down to Douglassville, PA to a friend's place for the long weekend. (that's because they've had to suffer through my July 4th soirees for the past decade or so... grin ) I had been watching the Jones Beach Air Show prior because I so love the planes, but the crowd has grown too big for my pleasure...

Be safe out there

Chevron Gas Stations

Hi Guys,

Is there possibility to get the Chevron POI's off Tom Tom Device so we could use it on Garmnin? I know TomTom has Chevron POI, and I cannot find all locations via Chevron's web site so I could create our own POI file.

Any help would be appreciated.
