Blockbuster Stores

We've been hearing about Blockbuster going out of business in the last weeks on TV. If that's so, why do we have Blockbuster stores still listed for sites around the country?

Thanks.

Speed Trap Info

This past weekend I head to & returned from Atlantic City, NJ for a family visit. I discovered that the Atlantic City Expressway had a speed trap designation for long distances on it. Well deserved, since I observed several police cars monitoring the traffic flow. I thought it was justified since I observed many cars driving way beyond the legal limit (+20-25 mph).

Typical Misrepresentation

The following article by thenewspaper.com
http://www.thenewspaper.com/news/42/4250.asp#source
has the headline and byline

"Federal Court Upholds Overnight Jail Over $15 Parking Ticket
Federal appeals court rules woman can be jailed overnight over a $15, non-jailable parking offense."

A Parking Ticket! Really?

Of course, it caught my attention.

Too bad this wasn't for Halloween...

This guy as a prank dressed up as a car seat and hit some drive through windows at fast food places. Brilliant!

Redbox

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has seen a Redbox (DVD video rental kiosks) POI anywhere. I am often on the road with a return on the seat and would like to know where the nearest kiosk is.

Thank you very much.

New use for GPS

They have now figured a new use for GPS
http://www.desmoinesregister.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2...
They can now follow you without starting a chase.

Cannonball Record Broken

In a CNN article today, technology is cited as helping break the record for the Cannonball coast-to-coast run:

http://www.cnn.com/2013/10/31/us/new-york-los-angeles-cannon...

These guys seem to have better luck with traffic reporting than I do. However, it says the first turn direction from the GPS was in error. Wonder what brand of GPS they used?
