No "Updated" Indicator for My Favourite Files

The last update I got on my favorites was for wifi lite.It show up like it should ready for a update.Have not noticed any problems. One thing going on that may cause some confusion.When a bmp or wav is added to the file it will show as updated in your My Favorites Files.For example Days Inn and Howard Johnson show in my list as updated on 3-24-16.But only a bmp was added to both of them.The custom poi files were not changed. Both files are orphan files now.

Hmmm. Perhaps what I'm seeing then (or -not- as the case may be) is a date-change indicating an upload (the BMPs), but not an actual POI change?

Have 'New' on my Fave files that haven't been downloaded.

Not sure if the .bmp and sound files trigger 'new', though. Anyone that can verify?

The Hampton Inn file which hasn't been updated in awhile is a perfect example.

Doesn't show as new if just the wav or bmp is added.Just the date changes for the update listed for your "My Favorites Files".If you don't have that file in your My Favorites Files you don't see a date change.

Can't say I like a non-poi triggering the 'new' though, with out stating what is the new part.

My Flying J file is marked new as of March 25th when you uploaded the 48 bmp icon.

I have that same file.The date changed on My Favorite Files but didn't show as a new update.If you look at http://www.poi-factory.com/node/491 the update shows as 3-14-16 for the custom poi file not the bmp. .The 14th is when it came up as a update for me.

Here are two orphan files I have showing updated for today.Only bmps added.Not ready for the custom poi files to be updated.

Is the update in red?

When I click My Favorite Files I have the Flying J file marked in red new & beside it March 25th 2016.

I don't have these files as favorites but the Flying J file which I do have is marked in red new March 25th

Not sure what is going on but mine does not show as new.

I just read your email and your findings make sense.

Recap: In my favorite files folder I have the Flying J file marked new in red with the date of March 25th 2016.

The maintainer donaldb530 did his last update on March 14th 2016 and you added the BMP on March 25th 2016.

The key to this mystery is exactly what you stated in the email you sent me: I haven't downloaded the file recently ( I update all my POI & camera files just before leaving on holidays) and believe as you stated that because I haven't downloaded the file the date rolled over when you added the BMP to March 25th.

Since you download on a regular basis your favorite files and when you add an icon or wav file the new in red doesn't appear confirms your theory on the date being rolled over.

Thanks Mike. Waiting on Jon to cofirm that thought. I remember something about this same problem in the past and thought JON make some kind of change.Maybe not.

Jonathan is in the hospital dealing with a gallbladder issue.

Mine all seem to come up "new" just fine.

I will see cases where the "New" doesn't show, but the POI looks like it's been updated. Usually I find in those cases that the "update" is just the addition of a new icon (usually the 48x48 BMP icons being added for newer GPS units).
