This week we are recognizing, mahoney!
With nine plus years as an active general maintainer and two COY’s, it’s difficult to find something to say about Mahoney that has not been said.
I stopped counting the number of files he maintains because it was making me dizzy, not to mention the colossal task he took on at the start of this year, maintaining the Rest Areas Combined file.
I know for myself, living in a time when I’m accustomed to being able to access so much information with a few strokes of the keyboard or a touch screen, I sometimes forget that the information I’m consuming doesn’t just appear on the interweb. It takes time and effort by people to research, compile, format and continue to update everything. Here at POI Factory, we’re fortunate to have many active, dedicated members who volunteer their time and talents, and in doing so make this process look effortless. Mahoney is one of those members.

When I joined this great site almost seven years ago, "Rest Areas Combined" was the first POI file I downloaded. When I replaced my Nuvi, it was also the first one installed on that one. Thank you for taking that POI over.

I can't say enough about the work you do for the Factory and the members of said Factory. You always do superb work and your files are the best. I probably have at least 10 of your files on my GPS's. Wow, I took a little "rest" away from the "rest area file" and when I returned, I found that Angela had selected me for a COW award. I really appreciate that and also for all of the extremely kind words that have been posted. I wish that I could voice my thanks to all in person.
I also want to thank all of the maintainers that put in many hours of work each day keeping their files up to date and answering numerous questions regarding the gps world.

The time it take to maintain P{O files very by size and available information. Mahoney all ways finds that info and maintains very good POI's (not taking anything from other maintainers) for some that seem impossible. Keep up the great work and enjoy.
