Thanks

Thanks for the access. I'm new to the GPS world but this site is very helpful and has saved me a lot of time stumbling around looking for files and info.

Combined US Campgrounds error?

Did anyone else have a problem with loading Combined US Campgrounds. I tried to load the Sept 10th version to no avail.

Looking for advice on a new GPS>>>

Here's the deal...I stopped buying Garmin some years back because of their lousy routing and internal memory issues. I switched over to TomTom and have been quite happy with the routing and updating issues but, recently, the hardware started to crap out...as in, the screen is now switching by itself and, of course, at the most inconvenient times (Garmin hardware has been rock solid for me).

Honoring and Praising Mahoney!

I just want to take time out in honoring and praising Mahoney. As most of us here know, he has probably the most number of files contributed--always neat, organized and regularly updated, and important ones at that. I don't know if he even sleeps at the rate he's going...hehehe. Personally, I never get bored downloading them. My toes and thumbs up!

Cleveland City Council voted unanimously to put traffic camera legislation on November ballot

Voters are dropping traffic caameras like fly's, not a good time to buy stock any of the companies that own them..

When is HOME not "home"?

I'm curious as to how many ppl set HOME to be their actual "home".
If u do, the reason u may not want to is that if ur car ever gets stolen u may come home to find that has been cleaned out also. For the moments after ur car is stolen the thieves know u are not home.

Mine is set about a block away. If I can't find it from there, I really shouldn't be driving.

Intro - was directed to this site after going thru the Delphi Forum BaseCamp lessons by D Norwood. Have been using GPS's for quite awhile, even install, maintain GPS unit in airplanes but new to POI's. Have already learned about BaseCamp and utilizing POIs. Great site.
Thanks,

This week, we're recognizing Eaglesft.

One of the things he likes to do when traveling is to try different restaurants, and the files here at POI Factory have made them easy for him to find.

Keeping The Windmill Alive - Your Last Trip? – September 2014

In danger of losing your windmill?

Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).

Anything to keep your windmill alive.

This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.

Behind the Wheel/Nuvi or the BBQ this Labor Day Weekend?

I have long made it a practice to stay off the roads & trails on Labor Day weekends and leave the "LM/LT/OSM" to others. Figure I'll be "low & slowing it (BBQ)" w/family on Saturday; then mowing, lawning & expending chemicals on the vehicles till I get bored.
