Is your hippocampus bigger than mine?

Here's an interesting article:

Is GPS ruining our ability to navigate for ourselves?

http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/is-gps-ruining-our-...

I'm not sure about how much I agree with; e.g., have the GPS plan a route, study it at home, then drive to the destination without the GPS's help confused

Keeping The Windmill Alive - Your Last Trip? – September 2015

In danger of losing your windmill?

Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).

Anything to keep your windmill alive.

This thread will be closed on the last day of the month and a new one will be opened.

U.S. National Grid Emergency Location Markers (ELMs)

I took one of my horses for a ride last night in the county park equestrian trails and I noticed new Emergency Location Markers. I have no experience with the United States National Grid format. I am sort of curious why they went with that format rather than another. I am sure I will find the answer when I have more time to review the websites on this topic.

Understanding EZ Pass & HOT lanes

Ontario is looking into setting up HOT Lanes. I've never used these in the US and don't know how the system works.

How do they determine you're in the lane and then bill you?

If it's a transponder, does one transponder work in all states?

If EZ Pass is used, does one EZ Pass work in all states?

Is EZ Pass proprietary to one company?

When creating a website

If you have ever tried to create a website then you know with desktops, tablets and phones and the different OS's out there it can drive you nuts. Here is a site that will help you at least see what each device is displaying.

Lithium-ion Batteries: Preserving Service Lifetime

Although I disagree with the author's comment about leaving older technology batteries like NiCD on their chargers (that's what causes the misnamed "Memory Effect" which was actually the result of drying out the electrolyte by overcharging), the bulk of the article is on point, especially as it pertains to today's Lithium-ion batteries.

Google Car Spotted

I saw one of the Google Street View cars on the other side of I-64 today. They were in the far right lane (Slow Lane?) and being passed a lot.

Don't know if it was "Active" or not. Guess I'll find out in a month or 2.

This is the 3rd time I've seen one. All on the Interstate.

Anybody else ever seen one?

Did you wind up in the "Street View"?

Issue with Contact Form when sender has a Yahoo email address

I just tried to contact another member (VinceCANuvi) thru POI Factory contacts. Yahoo rejected both the email to me as well as the other member. They are editing to see if the from address matches the from IP address. If it does not match it is rejected.
