IN DASH UNITS
Anyone familiar with these in dash GPS units in new vehicles? Are they any better than my portable Garmin unit or not worth the price upgrade to the new vehicle price?

How do you load POI files into DeLorme' Street Atlas 2006?
I have downloaded the Walmart, Sam's, and Super Center for Walmart POI file and have tried to load it into DeLorme' Street Atlas 2006. It loads from the Excel spreadsheet but places the POI's down at the South Pole.
Any help will be much appreciated from this newbie.

Hello to everyone. Just got my first GPS last week, a Garmin 750 and have been getting use to using it. Happened to stumble on this site and what a find. I have a lot of questions but will do some searching first, I am sure others have had the same questions.

Tornado Strikes?
Are you trying to keep track of all the touchdowns by tornados?
If so what is your source for data?
Didn't see Anadarko, OK in the list, which was just hit by an F2. Actually there were 4 other hits in Oklahoma on the same night.

Max speed mess up
Was looking over some of the info in my GPS today like I do on a rare occasion and it appears that my unit somehow messed up... see image below (if it loads)

Tornado Strikes
The May 3, 1999 F5+ Tornado in Oklahoma was on the ground for 100 miles, and was anywhere from 1/3 mile to over 1/2 mile wide. That's a long strike.

How do I create a file for others to use? I would like to do a few things if possible.

Wisconsin police may track people without warrant using GPS
Can't do this in Canada... I think this Wisconsin decision might be challenged.

Wrong Walmart Location
I thought maybe someone with the knowledge of how to create and edit POI's could update the location of the Walmart in Hayward, Wisconsin. It is currently about 7 or 8 miles south of the true location. I don't know how to make this change to POI's or I would attempt to do the change myself. I don't know what the lon/lat positions are, but here is the current address.

Is it legal to put my gps on my front window of car
Hello,
we are in USA (TN and other states arround TN) for holidays in May/June and in the manual of our garmin nuvi we read something about usage of gps in cars in USA.
So, we want to ask, if it´s legal to put our gps on the front window of our rental car or if it is illegal???
