May everyone have a safe and happy 4th of July. We should be thankful for our independence, freedoms, and the forefathers who gave their lives to create our country.

According to an article from the Wall Street Journal, one of Google’s many dirty secrets is that it allows application developers to sift through users Gmail addresses. Basically, Google allows third parties to read your email. There’s no other way to describe it.

This week we're recognizing, Abeebe!

Abeebe has been with us for over ten years and recently updated his BBQ Restaurants Mom and Pop Locations and his VFW Posts POI files.

Seeing these updated files caused me to pause and think about the holiday we're celebrating this week from a couple different angles which I haven't considered in some time.

Recently reporters have discovered that Facebook filed a patent a while back for a technology that would embed “digital fingerprints” in TV ads or other audio that would trigger smartphone mics to start recording everything in the surrounding area.

In danger of losing your windmill?

Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).

I work in heavy highway construction in the Philadelphia, PA area.

When we mill and/or pave a street in Philly we have a team of tow trucks that relocate vehicles in the way, PA law allows for it, we post no parking at least two days prior.

Some tows require a little more skill than others ...
