I'm Back!

San Fransisco for a couple of days last week for business; beautiful weather as it wasn't hot.

Coming home, to pack and take my youngest up to Manitowoc, Wisconsin to have an overnight in the USS Cobia submarine. That, too, was a fun trip. We stopped at a nearby lighthouse for a bonus. Two of his favorite things, practically since birth - light houses, submarines, pirates, treasure, and ships.

Good weather today, and I received a Mac computer to play with at work. What could be better? (My primary computer is still a PC.) wink

Thank you for playing along...

Finally. Just putting a splash screen in the 750. Found that the 480X270 was not working well, as the nuvi kept shrinking it from bottom up to make room for the screen text at the bottom of the screen. The solution in my case was to make it 480 X 210 instead. Works like a charm now.

American Football has the best season as far as length goes!

azingve wrote:

Basketball season is too long!

Let me first say this, I am a Huge MLB fan and have had the opportunity to grow up in a city that has all major league sports teams in it except for Hockey

Now to your Question, and at the same time loking a your Avatar.

And Baseball is how many games? Oh only seven months of tweleve. The Major League Baseball season has been 162 games long for each team since 1961 in the American League and 1962 in the National League. That would be 81 home and 81 visitor games each. Then you have to add this to the month of October, which contains the playoffs and World Series http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/schedule/ps.jsp taking us all the way to November.
The NHL season seems long. The NBA season seems long. They both play only 82 games, sometimes back to back or 4 in 6 days. However, the Major League Baseball season is twice as long. Seems much longer, and they play almost every day. 162 games is absolutely ridiculous. They could start to make some headway in shortening the season by dumping the stupid inter-league play, that would shorten the season a whole month.

This is nothing more than the facts!

I am so sorry this happed to you, and your community. Just be thankful your family didn't get hurt physically. Neighbors can be a great support system at a time like this. Keep an eye on the elderly.
I will say a prayer for you all.
