I recently purchased a Nuvi 660 and plan to use it on vacations and trips. One caution I noted was that in California and (I think) Minnesota, it is illegal to mount anything on the windshield via a suction cup. Using the Nuvi 660 in mobile mode and in rental cars, that would be the first alternative.

I'm going to Europe this summer and I'd like to buy Garmin's City Navigator. But since it's so expensive, I'd like to sell it when I get back.

Is it true that the SD-card version doesn't need an unlock code? Could somebody else use the SD card after I used it in my Nuvi?

Please forgive me if this question has been already answered, but I am "brand new" to the GPS scene. I just purchased a Garmin c340 and love it. However, I would like to look at the route the C340 is carrying me on before leaving. I would like to see the route just as I would if using mapquest,yahoomaps or paper map. Is there a way to do this?

had the Nuvi 360 for about a year. Now I just purchased a Nuvi 660. Does anyone know which comparable phones work on that system. I have a LG 8100, it works for calls (receiving and sending). But not any of the other features. Also I use Verizon Wireless. Any Help is greatly appreciated.

Hopefully someone can help me. Everytime I load the red light file all my other POI's disappear from my 660. What am I doing wrong? I am storing all custom POI's on a 2g SD card. Any help would be great. Thanks

I recently got a c330 (which I love) and I was wondering if it has the option to display icons for any POI that I may be passing. I've seen it in some built-in GPS systems in a few cars, and I was wondering if I could have that one mine.

I have this great new gizmo and I want to get the most out of it as possible

Has anyone noticed that in the latest POI Loader Beta 2.4.0.1 the ability to delete all Custom POIs from the device has been removed?

I'm not normally paranoid - but what's happening here !! ??

I have somewhat of a simple question. Some may view this as juvenile...however it has a mystery twist. Okay enough of that. What does those colors on my i3 represent. Some are orange and some are red. Does it represent what type of road I am traveling on? Please respond. I am a novice to all those colors.

I am extremely interested in linking my C330 to a laptop to pull extra data from the device while driving. Main goal is to try and develop an AVL type solution for law enforcement.

Does anyone here have experience with nRoute as my understanding is this the only software from Garmin that will allow this to work.

We have finally Rx'd the City Navigator NT North America v8 after a 4 week and 3 email wait - now it doesnt want to install. Has anyone had a problem installing this software?

I just purchased my 350 last week. I love it.

I had to travel to the east coast for business so I packed it with me for the trip. Once I got my rental car, I plugged it in and away I went. I noticed that I had to set the time zone to reflect EST.

this is sort of a info and (learning for me) What i found on the C530 (all c5X??) when you view the GHPS drive, I find the following.. (I hope someone can fill in the blanks for me...)

Folder are:
GPS --> Empty now (For GPS POI files??)
POI --> *.GPI (Custom POI files)
SCRN --> Empty now (for screen shots??)
RemoteSN --> *.GCd (I have no idea)

Hi there. I'm new to this thing. I was wondering how do you use these POI files? What's the difference between .csv files and .gpx files? How do I go about uploading and using them?

Just purchased a C 530 2 weeks ago. It has not been dropped or abused, but suddenly it will not turn on. Any suggestions before sending it back Garmin?

Does anyone know what the additional POI capacity is on the Garmin I5 model? It comes preloaded with over 6 million POI and I have already added 29,596 POI from this site. I tried to add the Lakes.USA file to it and it said that there wasn't enough room left for this file to be added.
