Speed limit 2 Kph zone????????

In toronto etobicoke area i am having an alert for 2kph speed zone. i am fail to understand how come a speed limit of 2kph can exist? i think a pedistrian can walk much faster then 2kph. and on a particular road within 100 meters of distance it is showing 4-5 camera location on the map. isn't it strange?

Any suggestion?

.

Check the file names of your POI files that you have loaded. It sounds like one has the number "2" in the filename. POI Loader interprets numbers in the file names as speed data.

If you change the name and eliminate the number and reload the POI files, the alert should go away.

thanx buddy. but i checked

thanx buddy. but i checked the file name. it is "Speed-Cameras.csv". it doesn't has "2" any where. I downloaded it from the redlight cameras section from this site.

.

What about any of the other files? Is that the only file you have loaded?

ya but none of them has

ya but none of them has "2"in their name.

I loaded all these

I loaded all these files.
"Canadian_Casinos__V.csv"
"Indian_Restaurants_Toronto_Area.csv"
"ohip.csv"
"Redlight-Cameras.csv"
"Roti_Restaurants.gpx"
"Speed-Cameras.csv"
"Tim_Hortons-CAb-1.csv"
"TimHortons.csv"

and how come a road can have 4-5 speed cameras in 100-150 meters. I am talking about albion and highway 27 intersection in etobicoke, toronto area

Eliminate the "1" from the above filename and see what happens.

As for the "4-5 cameras", you didn't mention having loaded custom icons, so how do you know that they are all cameras? I agree that certainly seems strange.

where ever there is camera

where ever there is camera at any intersection there is a small circle on the map. that is how i come to know about this.

No!

The little grey circles are the default icon for ANY custom POI. I'm guessing that some are restaurants and/or casinos -- not all cameras. If you want to know for sure, load a custom icon for the speed cameras so that you can tell the difference. Mousing over some POIs will result in a popup window identifying it as well.

may be you are right buddy.

may be you are right buddy. but what about the speed alert of 2 kph?

Not too long ago Ms POI broke out the speed cameras from the Red Light Cameras as in parts of the US they are two different items.

At least in Wpg. they are all combo Speed & Red light so I get a double bing from each... I assume that is what is happening to you.

If you have the combo units in your city, bring up the smaller file in Excel edit any that are duplicated in the Red Light Camera file.

I gave a recommendation

I gave my recommendation -- get rid of the "1" in the filename. I'm just guessing that perhaps 2 kph might be the lowest alert.

Is there a tone to your use of the word "buddy"?

Yeah, I'm thinking that somewhere in the loading process "miles" instead of the "kilometers" were chosen, so the "1" is creating a corresponding 1 mph alert which is coming out on the unit as 2 kph.

Take the numeral out of the file name so see if it goes away.

Thank you every one for

Thank you every one for helping me. Now i know that one of the file which i dowloaded has a speed limit of 2kph. It is "Tim_Hortons-CAb-1.csv" file. Thats why Where ever there is a Tim Horton nereby it started to give me an alert. So it is solved. SO thank you every body specially "Motorcycle Mama" and "bentbiker".

Thank you all too

I had the same issue ended up removing all loaded files and just loaded camera file. now will try to load speed alerts again but removing 1s and 2s.
