Garmin tells me I can't put dashes/hyphens into phone numbers. Is this true?

Hello,
I recently purchased my first GPS. A nuvi 880. Pretty sweet I must say, but I had a question for other nuvi owners. When you edit a phone number, do hyphens get automatically inserted? Mine doesn't and I think it looks a little ugly. Here's a screenshot.

I asked that same question months ago..no can do! I use a space now...good luck with your new Nuvi, I'm jealous!

Try sending them to MapSource, then editing them in MapSource, and sending them back to the unit.
I use hyphens on my 760 & 350
One caveat with the 760 though - on the "home" Favorite, it will not allow hyphens or even spaces or it will not dial properly. Works fine on other favorites and POI's, but not with the Home favorite. Of course, I enter most of my favorites and POIs with GeePeeEx editor, not on the Nuvi itself. Maybe that's the difference I see.
