Between which models?

And does your cell phone have Bluetooth? If it does and if you want to use your GPS unit as a handsfree device in your car, then you might want Bluetooth in your GPS unit.

Check Garmin Website

You may want to check the Garmin website list of which phones are compatible with which GPS models. Here is the link:

If your phone is on the list, it will work. If your phone is NOT on the list, it MAY work, but not guaranteed. For example, my Nokia 6102i is NOT on the list, but it does work with my nuvi 660. I was just lucky.

I have a nuvi 360 and the bluetooth sounds like crap. The caller always hears an echo and if I turn the volume down to help with the echo you can't hear the call. I just keep it turned off now. ymmv

The Bluetooth works great on my Zumo. Be sure that your Bluetooth firmware is updated on your unit and depending upon your phone and carrier, on your phone.

Do you use either an aux input or cassette adapter to avoid the internal speaker? Did you try the external mic? Neither should be absolutely necessary to get good performance in a relatively quiet car, if you properly position the GPS, but the above techniques reduce the feedback in tough situations. You may have given up too easily.

Bluetooth works great on the Nuvi 760. Make sure you use the Built In FM Transmitter, though. Using Bluetooth with this unit through the GPS Speakers will cause an Echo, no Echo through the Vehicle's Stereo system. Love it.

You will love this unit. Not only can you answer calls, but you can make a call by dialling any number(voice input) which you may wish to call. Really neat if a number is not in your phone book already.
