Lost all my POI's after registering StreetPilot c550

I just received my (second) StreetPilot C550 after the first one was destroyed (another story!)
My problem is that when I go to "Food, Hotels..." all searches yield "No Matches Found." It worked fine until I went through the registration process (think it updated some things but don't know what)
I don't know if this is what was on it at first, but now it shows "Software Version 6.60" and GPS SW Version 3.00
I have used Webupdater and it says everything is current.

On your GPS unit, go to Wrench/Settings > Map > Map Info and check the checkbox next to your maps.

I wonder if I did that or somehow it was changed during the update.
Anyway -- thanks a bunch for your help!

It seems like sometimes it causes the maps to get deselected on the unit.
