Garmin "Start-up" logo
sooooo. Weird question .. thought i'd ask anyway :::::
Does anyone know how to locate the Garmin Logo files on the Nav? I have it plugged in the USB thinking I could find them ....
The idea . .. . I'm a graphic designer (we all are) . . looking to take the garmin logo .. and swap it with my own little start-up image ... thought it would be cool to manipulate it PERSONALLY.

Already made a mistake Uploading to GPS
I'm laughing about it, because I normally read instructions .. but this time i got cocky.
Anyway, I've downloaded and Uploaded about 5 POI's .. with pics and souns .. but did not change the pics and sounds name to match.
Is there a way to delete these, or will it automatically overwrite the POI files that were uploaded?
Any help is great.
Thanks

What would you buy?
OK, I have a couple of hundred bucks in gift cards and rewards at BestBuy. I'm willing to kick in another hundred or so towards a new Garmin. I want to give my SP340c to my wife to keep in her car, and I want to get a new GPSr. I would like some of the bells and whistles, but not all. I would like TTS, turn by turn, "where am I?', lane assist and that kind of stuff.

Prices of Older Models
Good morning.
Do you think prices of older models will drop as new ones are released?
I'm currently looking at Nuvi 755T on Amazon. I'd have bought it when it was $294, but I missed it thinking it might go down further on Father's Day.
Any thoughts?

Highway Choice - Garmin Nuvi 350
I have the nuvi 350, and one problem I have is that it always navigates me towards the 407 as opposed to the 401. The 407 is a toll highway here in Ontario, Canada.
Is there anyway to ensure the nuvi will always navigate me to the 401 and not the 407?

Nuvi 265WT non-routing mode keeps rescaling map
I just got my Nuvi 265 WT last night, to replace my street pilot 2610. I miss see the time while in map mode and seeing the time to next turn in routing mode.

Garmin 200W
Anyone else have one of these?
I picked one up about a week ago. So far, I like it a lot. More expensive models do more, but for my 1st GPS that I just use occasionally - its pretty nice.
I've always been a "map on the side of the road" kinda guy - so it's nice to actually have one of these.

Great price on Nuvi 755T
After the Garmin 3.40 Crash event with all of the 7x5 series problems, I am not sure if anyone is interested, but...
When my Nuvi first crashed and before I read about the 5 second battery fix, I purchased a new 755t and had it overnighted because I am going on vacation on Monday and it would drive me nuts not to have it.
I bought my replacement Nuvi here:

Does the Nuvi 200 support route avoidance?
I'm pretty sure the answer is no, but I get really annoyed when it tells me to go a way I know will take to long or be bogged in traffic.
Perhaps you can offer what is the lowest end model that does support the route avoidance?

HELP - background reversed, now dark
First post here. I found this forum earlier today, had fun installing POI Loader and the plug-in to allow Google maps to install coordinates directly into Favorites. Great resource.
I use my GPS primarily for motorcycle touring. I can't afford the bike-specific models, and the Nuvi works fine, as it is pretty well protected by the windshield.

Union New Jersey POIs
Does anyone know of a POI web site that can give me JUST Union New Jersey POIs? I do not need to load my 265 with stuff I will never need. I am a taxi driver and my Nuvi is GREAT!!! Thanks!

Apology Not Accepted!
Garmin was a day late and a dollar short with their email and apology. The only apology I will accept is a follow up email announcing "Garmin is accepting applications for a Head of Software Engineering, and Chief of Software Quality Control these positions need filling immediately" with an address to send a CV.

Auto Update vs Web Updater
Will someone explain to me (in layman terms)the Auto Updates (I read about in the 7x5 issue) and how this is different from the Web Updater used on the PC?

nüMaps Lifetime North America and Europe recommendations on NUVI 760
I am looking for some information about how is the best way to load both the North America and Europe Lifetime Maps. When you connect and load it, is there an option to put the European Maps on an SD card or does it all get loaded into the 760? I am going to Switzerland and Italy and it appears that the lifetime maps for North America and Europe is cheaper than any other options I might choose.

in case it hasn't been done
I would like to thank Miss Poi, and the site mods, as well as all of the dedicated expert members here for saving me from the recent Garmin fiasco
were it not for the great site you created and maintain, I would not have become a member, and more importantly, never would have browsed the site daily as religiously as I do.

885T work around?
Has anyone figured out a patch for the 885T Nuvi?
I have posted on the string by Ray3676 who asked about his Nuvi 765, and noticed that Garmin has addressed the problem with that unit, however I was told that I would have to wait a few days for a patch for my unit, and I am not sure if it would mean a download or having to send it back to them.
XM/Sirius subscription fees are increasing...
...or should I say "having additional fees added to them."
I didn't see this mentioned elsewhere in the forums here, so forgive me if this is a repeat.
