Nuvi 265W & WT

I bought what I thought was a Nuvi 265wt, I looked at the Garmin site and am confused with the labeling of this device. Mine has 265W NO "T" found, Garmin shows that the 265 W is for Europe?? The WT's are for almost everywhere else.

How many of you have the 265 wt or the 265w? And what is the difference??
Mine was bought on sale at Amazon a couple months ago.

The straight 265 is the narrow screen version.

I can't figure out exatly what I have due to not finding any with the T reference. The w stands for widescreen.

Any advice?? Or did I get a sustitute for the WT somehow??

I entered the maintenance area in the Garmin and it shows:
software version 5.10 nuvi 265w S3 P1 V4 2GB
PCB Part # 105-01392-01
PCB Version 4
Went to the "about" area in settings and it tracks with the 265W only.

What is the "T"?? and what differences does the W vice the WT have??

Traffic service

I think the "T" means that it comes with a traffic service which is built into the power adapter

The T refers to Traffic

If you get free traffic when you plug in the charging cord you have 265wt. On mine the box indicated 265wt but my unit indicates 265W. I think this is the way they all are

When you register the product with garmin it will indicate whether it is 265wt or not. If you are still concerned.

WT

I have the Nuvi 265WT. The W is for widescreen and the T is for traffic. The traffic receiver is in the DC power cable that you use in the car. It is a bulge in the cable. If you are in an area that has traffic service you will have an icon on the left of the screen.

Great!! Thanks for the corrections. I have the Traffic and bought the GD-55 (I think thats right) and have the traffic, weather, flight times. all other stuff it comes with.

Just couldn't define the W and the WT

W, T Models

W = Widescreen model
T = Traffic model (you get real-time traffic info)

The 265WT receives Free real-time traffic info, for the life of that unit you have. The real-time Traffic info is free, because it is paid by sponsors, whose ads pop-up on the screen.

The 265WT units do not indicate that they are T versions, but they are (check for Traffic info on your unit).
