May have found a problem with transferring favorites from gps to Mapsource if you have categories for favorites.I have the latest update but get error message to send report to Garmin when I try the transfer.Went to EasyGps and it would not transfer either.Not sure if it is the program update or the categories for favorites causing the problem.

I know I can just copy from drive and transfer.Emailed Garmin last week and they are suppose to look at it.

If anyone has a unit that has categories for favorites and gets a chance to try Mapsource to transfer I would appreciate the result you get.

I am using v6.15.5 on Win XP and just transfered my favorites to Mapsource the other day - most of them are in categories that I established on my nuvi 255W. The categories do show in MP.

While on the topic of mapsource - do you know of any issues with using MapSource on Vista?

Mapsource 6.15.6

I am using xp also and have not seen any post about Vista problems with Mapsource.The Mapsource I am using is 6.15.6.Maybe that is the problem.I know before the update I used it to create categories and send them to the Gps unit.First time trying to receive from unit with the new update.Hopefully someone will post back using the 6.15.6 with the results.Will see if I can go back and find the 6.15.5 and see if that makes a difference.Thanks for your reply.

I am running the latest version of MapSource on Vista64, no issues.
