It fixes the auto day/night mode that started screwing up this last daylight savings time change date.
Now it switches automatically at dusk like it used to.
The update may also apply to other 3*** models.

I purchased a Canada map online on a sd card. when i insert my card into Gps i get a error saying "error detailed map Does not support routing.. please help

I have been attempting to update my "new" Drive 6 all afternoon. (Uggh!)

I FINALLY got mt Garmin Express to find my GPS and it said must download new software FIRST.

I did so, and after a few minutes, it instructed me to unplug my GPS for 5 second, and then plug it back in to allow the unit to install the new software.

I have trouble seeing red or green lights like is on the Garmin car chargers/power supply. Honestly we have more charging cords than GPS units so often times they're not matched the way they came out of the box. My wife gets upset when she sees a red light on the charger and a green one one the other.

I have 2 Drivesmart 61's and to transer from Mapsource I would go to MTP settings and select Mass Storage. In this I would be able to transferr anything in my Mapsource program that I've used for many years on all kinds of Garmin Nuvi's.

Just tried to use Garmin's POIs to find nearest US Post Office. First four nearest have all been closed over a year ago. One was closed six years ago.

Any thoughts about why Garmin doesn't update these?

having a issue lately as why my dezlcam gps just randomly dims out while traveling.. has anybody had that issue? it goes on and off. wondering if thats a battery issue. thanks for responding.

What bugs me when I use my Garmin is "turn right on Main St". If you are NOT ON Main St. you can't turn right ON Main St. You can only turn right ONTO Main St.

Does it bug you? I have tried to change it but Garmin uses the same ON for "destination is on the left", which is correct English.

Ok, any guesses for when the next map update will appear

I've been searching, but I can't find it. Plan B for restoring those system files that you remove to save space, and didn't back up. My unit works, but I had removed a lot of files to make room, but I'd like to restore this unit to factory.

This may be a dumb question.
Is there a way to find out if I already voted? I'm sure I did, but want to verify that I did.

Since my last upgrade to maps and other utilities it said I needed, my Garmin 3490 no longer switches from day to night to day mode anymore!!

All settings are the same as they were and in the correct "AUTO" mode.

Is anyone else experiencing this???

It is a real pain to set it to the proper mode required.

I've had a custom RLC alert audio file on my DS-50 for a couple of years and it has worked fine. However awhile back (I think it was after the 2020.2 upgrade) it stopped working. Is it possible there was something in the upgrade that inhibits it? I have not made any other changes to my file structure etc.

I have been losing 'Free Space' on my PC SSD and discovered that one of the main culprits was that Garmin was backing up each map(2GB+ apiece) after every update. 12 updates has resulted in ~24 GB of lost free space.

The limited settings menu in GE has no choices for saving/deleting map updates.

OK. I replaced the battery and hot glued it to keep it from rattling. The hot glue failed and I snapped off the switch from the circuit board while opening the case.I looks like it was never soldered, only stuck on with two plastic pins. I ohm-ed it out and it always looks like a short. Has any one had experience repairing/reinstalling the switch ?

Anyone know how to reboot a newer Honda factory navigation system? Restarting the vehicle doesn't really do a full reboot of the Android infotainment system as it seems to be a sleep/hibernation mode. Occasionally, I see weird things happen that I'd rather initiate a manual reboot perhaps weekly before it inevitably crashes, freezes, or just goes blank at a most inconvenient time i.e.

A trivial question, but one that has bothered me for a long time. I have a Nuvi 40LM (old, but still useful thanks to the lifetime maps). I use the female voice with the British accent (don't recall the name)because it is so well enunciated that I can understand it better than most. Frequently it directs me to "take sid road", or at least that's what it sounds like to me.
