Garmin Express Wakes Computer at 2:00 AM
My PC just got a clean install of Windows 10 plus all the Garmin software. The settings in Garmin Express were done the same way suggested by members, including: "Automatically download device updates (radio button) Never."

Will Garmin Ever Go To A Live Map Updating Model To Replace The Current Method?
This post will hopefully stimulate some discussion on the current Garmin method of updating maps several times a year. Does anybody here think that they might eventually move to a system that updates either live, daily or weekly? It would be interesting to know what percentage of Garmin users even update their maps. I strongly suspect that some people never update them!

TTS Voice Editor
MANY years ago, there was some software that helped make changes to the TTS Voice files. I changed "Recalculating" to "We are so lost." In some update, the file reverted to factory text. Wanted to change this again but all of the old links are broken.
Anyone have alternatives?

Just picked up a Drivesmart 55. Comparing it to my Nuvi 3597
Hey all!
I just picked up a Drivesmart 55. I have been using a Nuvi 3597 LMT for several years now. I made the purchase thinking something 5 years newer would be 'better'.
To be honest, the Drivesmart 55 feels cheap compared to the 3597.
Has anyone gone from a 3597 to a Drivesmart 55? What are your experiences / preferences?
I may end up returning my 55. We'll see.

Nuvi 50 and POI Loader
Just purchased a old Garmin nuvi 50 and I tried to load some custom points, but Poi Loader can not find the device.
Can you load Custom POI's or Routes from Basecamp into this GPS?

Unknown files
I bought a drivesmart 65. All my gps's always have custom poi's...hmm. So under the POI directory they house a CustomPOI.gpi
file and thats all thats in there, guess what! this one has 3 additional ones
D7378050A.gma, D7378050A.gpi and D7378050A.unl. These were created or updated when i updated to the newest map version 6 days ago.

Carpool Lanes, HOV, HOT, Etc
Driving in LA, my 61 does not know when I am in an HOV (carpool)or HOT (toll) lane
as a result, you don't get help for exiting from the lanes when you have an exit ahead.
You also encounter +Recauculating+ when the freeway connects to other freeways via Carpool lanes but the GPS wants you to go tot the far right lane...
Is there a way to fix this in settings?

Map updates
I bought City Navigator (North America 49 States) from Garmin to use on my frequent trips to Tennessee and Florida. I use them on my Garmin Drivesmart 65 with Alexa, which in itself, was not a cheap buy.
I asked Garmin about updates to this map and the frequency and was told they don't update these maps, you are expected to buy a new one. I asked if they were joking to which no one replied.

dezlcam charger
in my earlier post i wrote to as why my dezl cam keeps dimmimg out on me. I guess it has to do with my charger. It got mixed up with other chargers while a few gps were updated. i ended up with the incorrect car charger thereofoe it causes me problems. can anyone tell me the serial number or model number off the correct car charger or are they all different? please and thank you.
Bluetooth Pairing Failure with Smartphone Link
I ran across a situation recently with my DriveLuxe 51 where the DriveLuxe would not automatically pair with my Android smartphone. It has always worked perfectly for me, but this problem started a few days ago after I installed the updated Timezone and Traffic Provider files on the DriveLuxe.
