Hey I'm going to sell my Nuvi 350 soon and I'm looking for a unit to replace it. My question is that I like extra features on the 700s series, however, since the unit itself doesn't have a flip-up antenna, should I go with the 600s series instead? The 350 Nuvi came with all the accessories like: case, usb charger ...etc. Will the 600s series and 700s series also include them?

I am looking for a mounting bracket for a friction mount. The bean bag one. Does anyone know where I can buy just the mounting arm that slides into it? I can not find it on a Google search.

Ok so long story short.. I recently got a Nuvi 200W and I haven't been on any long trips, but I have tested it via locations around my hometown. It will get some places correct, but other locations it will be off by as much as 1.5 miles in the WRONG direction. I am seriously thinking about returning it for the TomTom XL-S, but I haven't heard anything great about it either.

Has anyone noticed any advantage in using an external type antenna such as the one that plugs into the rear of the Nuvi (760)? I think they retail aroun $30.00.

Hey wonderful news, one of my buddy happen to have a Garmin nuvi 350 and I just borrow his and copy all the missing files into my nuvi 350 and now everything work again, except that I'm still stuck with the GPS SW Version 3.00 so now I'm selling it and already somebody want it for $240.00. Should I sell it or ask for a higher price.

How do you put your antennas up? I used to always kept it straight up, until I read review from gpsmagazine that Garmin says that is should be parallel to the earth's surface.

I just purchased and set up my first GPS, the nuvi 750. After downloading the new maps (and presumably, POI) I tried it out on my own home address. What I'm finding is the Garmin POI information is outdated to the point of being scary if I were to use it in a strange town. Some if the locations it shows are more than five years out of date so far as stores being now non-existant.

Costco currently has Nuvi 760 for 350. Should I jump on this? I am currently using Nuvi 350 and Garmin C530. What additional functionality is in the Nuvi 760?

The speed is always 9 miles above the speed limit when I look at the speed when I use the simulation. I don't know about you, but the most I have driven is 5 mph above the limit, never more than 9.

OT: The new Pizza will replace my current blue arrow. It just basically a bigger arrow with pepperoni, cheese, and a crust.

Hi! Can anyone help? I have a Garmin 660, downloaded the POI Loader for Windows and the software does not see my device even though the Nuvi 660 does show up in My Computer. Error message says I may need to re-set the user interface to "Garmin" or "Host". I can't see how to do this. What to do?

I am not sure if I changed a setting or something is wrong with my Nuvi 660. I don't get my traffic info on the main map anymore. I can select the traffic icon and go to the traffic maps. They show up with the same info that seems current but the info and warning don't seem to show up on my main map page anymore nor do any warnings?

Any ideas?

I have the Nuvi 770. It works great in the States and Europe. Even though it is not perfect it is a wonderful piece of equipment. Easy to use and gets me where I need to go. Also much safer then using paper maps or written directions when by yourself. The detour and traffic avoidance works well too. Garmin puts a smile on my face.

How to I edit the POIs such that the alarm goes off faster? For example, the Red Light Camera and Speed Trap info don't appear until I'm right on the site.
Can I increase the warning distance??

I'm a new Garmin user with a nuvi200. I can use the Garmin POI loader to add the various POI files to my GPS. However, how do I add POI's with BMP indicators and alert sounds?

I have a question.

I seem to have read conflicting information.

First I have read that you should back-up the files on your unit.

Garmin 350
Software Version 5.50
Audio Version: 1.90
GTM10 SW Version: N/A
GPS SW Version: 3.00

I got a Garmin 350 about 8 months ago and just recently I use webupdater provided on Garmin site to update to Version 5.50 (I did not back up the old files).

1)The GPS SW version stay the same even after I downgraded the software version. Is there any way to downgrade the GPS SW version?

Where are all the "outlaw / pirate" sites that add cool features that Garmin has not? Different voices, better vehicle icons, etc... Also are games only available on newer models? Does the 660 have, or capable of having, a "where am I right now" feature?

Being a new Garmin user, with a StreetPilot C550, I don't know if this is a dumb question or not.

Can I use my GPS for geo-caching? That is, using it to show me the longitude and latitude for a cache site?

Is there some sort of item (belt connector, etc.) that I can purchase for my Nuvi 660 when I take it with me walking - GeoCaching, etc.? Something that makes it easier to hold, look down at, etc.?
