Sorting Favorites (Nuvi 750)

I've searched forums...could not find anything on this, but is there a way or option to sort your favorites.
I am not concerned with the POI's I have, but merely favorites.

Near as I can tell, it is currently sorting my favorites by those closest to me at my current location. I think I would prefer them personally, as alphabetical.

Suggestions, tips, etc. Thanks gang!

Stu

You got it right

Favorites will only show up in a list sorted by the distance from where you are at the present time. Only 50 favorites will show up when you check - the 50 closest.
You cannot sort them alphabetically !

It's just how it works. Poi's work the same way. When you bring them up on screen, they display in order of straight line distance (as the crow flies). If you want to display them for a location that's farther away, you have to use the "Near" feature in your search.

Hit the "spell" button. Your favorite will pop up after relatively few characters.

Searching/Sorting Favorites

My 260W came with 4 categories of Favorites.

Address Book
Community
Entertainment
Family

I can also add categories such as "work". Favorites can be placed in more than one category if you choose.

If want to use the spell feature to quickly search for favorites you could start the name of each favorite with 3 letters. Such as "FFFrank's house" or "MMMickey D's". Then when you touch Where to-Favorites-Spell and enter "FFF" or "MMM" only those with 3 letters in a row would show up (still sorted by closest distance). Not a great solution, but it does work.

Right on...Quite easy and very accurate. Of course you have to know where you want to go and at least the first few letters of the spelling. Not a big deal.
