Got the new Nuvi750 unit.
Downloaded the Walmart/Superwalmat locations successfully.
USed POI Loader, used Manual mode. However, one question I have is: When asked for the distance and speed settings, what are some recommended settings for these?
Does it or should it vary by the type of POI?
What should I use for, say...a walmart notification alert....1500 ft, 1000 ft?
Second question, I'm not sure I understand what the speed portion of that really means.
Can someone elaborate perhaps?
Thanks...Stu!

Alert Settings
The distance setting depends on how you drive and if you want time to react. I set the alert distance for Starbucks at 2600ft. A half mile should be enough for my wife to decide if we want to pull in.
The speed alert will only alert you if you exceed the speed setting, and it will set the distance to what you would cover in about 36 seconds (I think) at that speed.

Guess I'm dorking out....just an average driver....so would 65 be a good number....or what do you put in that field?
Thanks...Stu
Distance is better.
Alert speeds are usually 0 or the speed of the school zone or radar trap. For none speed related POIs it is best to set a distance.
