Over the past day or so I've been loading a few new favorites to my nuvi 750 from my TOPO map. Anyway I uploaded a few that I don't want anymore. So I manually delete them, but when I power off and back on they are there AGAIN! Any ideas?.....Drew
GPX
Look for GPX files on the unit and your card. Depending on the model, the unit will place these into your favorites when it sees them. Just delete the GPX files.

No dice. I read in another tread that someone else tried that and it didn't work. Just for the heck of it I tried but no luck. I did the right corner restart a few times with no luck as well......Drew

I have a 750 also...are you going to tools, then arrow to my data, select delete favorites, check the favorites you want to delete, and choose delete at the bottom of the screen....works well for me...

Just to clarify, did you not find any gpx files other than current.gpx? Current.gpx is just a copy of the favorites that are stored elsewhere -- deleting it will do no good. If you delete the current.gpx, the OTHER gpx files, AND then delete from Favorites, I don't see how they could come back.
Or, you could restore the entire unit to its previous condition by using your backup to restore.
