Garmin talk

The 255W I just got says it wants a GTM 25 integrated FM receiver (integrated with car power). The Garmin website does not show this or any other traffic as accessory for any 2x5 model, though all 2x5 models show as FM traffic compatible. Anyone have any idea when the FM traffic will be available for the 2x5 series.

I've been struggling with this through a couple of rounds with Garmin Tech Support. They've been great, but they haven't been able to help me and I no longer have any free time when they are available, so I thought I'd see if anyone here can assist me.

I'm almost embarrassed to ask this question...but the only foolish question is one that isn't asked!

We have a Garmin 260 and know it doesn't have an MP3 player. We assume it will play MP3 audio files for alerts, like red lights and cameras. Can someone verify this?

In toronto etobicoke area i am having an alert for 2kph speed zone. i am fail to understand how come a speed limit of 2kph can exist? i think a pedistrian can walk much faster then 2kph. and on a particular road within 100 meters of distance it is showing 4-5 camera location on the map. isn't it strange?

Any suggestion?

Well my trip started out from Newark New Jersey Airport. I turned my Garmin StreetPilot C550 on in the Aircraft ( Continental )and it showed we were travling at 490mph. I then used it to get from the Airport to the Hotel, it took me from the airport right to the front door of the Hotel. I used it to get round downtown Portland. Next we planned a trip to the Napa Valley in California.

Has anyone experienced this TG POI Bug?

1: When the unit powers up when a TourGuide alert (or at the TG POI location) is in range, when selecting a new route the unit will lock up everytime you hit "Go" until you get out of the set range of the POI.

Can someone email me the rest area alert in wav format so I can use it on my 205?

I have a Nuvi 660- I also have a Verizon LG-8550 (Chocolate 2) phone. I have no problems making/receiving calls using the bluetooth, but for some reason the phone book will not transfer. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Any work around?

Hi I have never own a personal GPS. I just bought a Nuvi 200w, I was wondering where I can find more info on GPS's for example, what is the map formats, how do you add other maps on the GPS, that kind of stuff.

Really need some help here as it is driving me nuts.

I have the Garmin 250W which is NOT text to speach capable, my belief is that the 255W was the first 200 series to offer this feature.

Do you use Garmins Trips & Waypoint Manager software? I recently installed this product and have problems using the "Help" option.

On Garmin's website, www.garmin.com/nuvifone, they are talking about the release of a new device. A 3G GSM cell phone with a touch screen and GPS built-in. This looks awesome! Does anyone know anything about it? Any Garmin staff who read this site who can tell us about unlocked phone pricing, availability, etc?

John Or Miss Poi if I open Mapsource Up and go to View find position and put in long. & Lat. then make a waypoint and then save that waypoint as a .GPX would I be Able To Send That file To The Garmin Street Pilot 2610

I have a Garmin Nuvi200 which does not come with weather and was wondering if I download the weather for texas would it work on it? Or would I have to have a GPS that came with weather already on it?

i was looking through a circuit city ad today and i noticed they have a nuvi200wc for $199.

nuvi 200wc? when did this come out? i can barely find any info on it and the differences between the plain "w". from the look of the main map interface..it can play mp3's.

did garmin make an all 'new' 200wc jus to add mp3 playback?

I have a NUVI 650. Some day I'll need to change the battery, but it works fine now. I see batteries sold online within reason. But, how do you remove the old and replace the new battery in the unit without damaging it. It does not seem obvious how to open the case.

I just moved to Daphne, AL, right outside of Mobile. Our house isn't even on my Garmin, although I did just update to 2009. There also aren't a lot of the stores I need on it - it is picking up stores in Pensacola but not down the street. I updated the POI's I needed here but is there a area specific download that might help? Thanks!
